Jazz at Dubs Official Game Thread -- 8:30PM MT: NBATV, ROOT

That's my point though. Cy hasn't referenced any stats either for THIS YEAR'S performance. All he's doing is going off of his opinions. It would be impossible to say competently 100% how good Hayward's overall game is objectively, yet you seem to think Cy's idea of what Hayward is trumps everyone's else idea of how he is VS how he actually is.

And when I bring up THIS YEAR'S stats - oh well it's small sample size, or go look at LAST YEAR'S stats.
Because this years sample size is too small ATM to draw anything from you dingus.

Last year Hayward was 14/25 on last minute clutch shots.

Last year Hayward was 43% from the field in clutch situations.

Use that small sample size though hotnickkkk

This is last years stats fella, and are all these stats against bad teams, good teams, #NextLevel teams?? Hayward seems to get overwhelmed when the stakes are raised

No. I think Cy's idea of what Hayward is trumps broad generalization backed up with objectively false claims.

Are you seriously balking over being told that 26 minutes is not an adequate sample size?

Did I say that? You are so shallow.

I just said that Hayward had a recent example of clutch play yet some barely acknowledge it and choose to focus on a false narrative. You are such a snake.

LOL .. you keep countering all arguments made against you by numerous posters with "Go watch the Memphis game".

Yet when I present stats from 21 games - it's small sample size.

Why are you getting so hung up on the mention of the Memphis game? The context was obvious: He brought up the Memphis game as an example of Hayward being clutch recently. He is not using that as the basis for definitively concluding whether or not Hayward is clutch like you are trying to do with a 26 minute sample size.

Hayward has been disappointing this year. Has he been horrible? Of course not. We expect him to play at an all-star level. Because of his talent we expect greatness.

Right before his finger injury he looked like he was playing at a higher level. That hard work in the offseason was paying off. The meeting/training with Kobe was showing.
Granted this was the preseason and a small sample size but to my eyes there was something different about him. It wasnt about the 17 points he scored in Portland it was his body language, and demeanor that was impressive.

Since he came back from injury we've seen a little bit of everything from him. He can be shut down by the other team. This is alarming. When the team gets tight he hasnt seemed capable of carrying the team through these stretches. Maybe he's just not fully healed, and hasn't gotten into the groove yet after missing that chunk of time. I still feel he will have a monster run at some point this season. Hes just got to be able to do that for the majority of a season if he wants to be an all-star.

Hes a great Robin, but not that impressive of a Batman.

Disappointing? He's increased his scoring by over 2 points per game on improved efficiency. His rebounding is also way up, and he's been one of the better defenders. He's having a better season statistically than any that Paul George has ever had.

He also just recently had a streak of scoring 20+ that not even Deron or Boozer could pull off.
