Jazz Can't Close Out Games For ****.

Whichever way you spin it, the most disappointing season in my 2 decades of fandom just gets more disappointing. And it only took until about February to become the most disappointing season, too. It's like Steph Curry. Setting new records by February.

No worries, though, peeps. Once we're a veteran team like the Warriors, we'll be making clutch shots against the Dubs left and right.

I thought you were done watching for the season? Also what were your expectations for this season? Mine were to make the playoffs as a 7th or 8th seed and based on how young we are and how many injuries we have had I am impressed we are still in a position to do that. The close losses are rough but they will make this team better in the future to play in this many close games imo. We are already looking so much better in the last 1-2 minutes than we did at the beginning of the season, they are getting use to pressure situations.

Less Jim please

True Story: Ian ****ING Clark didn't have "it" when he played for the Jazz last season...Now that he plays with superhuman players on Golden State he suddenly obtained "it" through osmosis.

Everyone knows they signed that scrub just to learn some of our secrets cuz they scared.

you need to get back on your antidepressants dude ... geez

5th seed. Fighting for 4th.

I would be disappointed as well if I expected that going into this season. Being the second youngest team in the NBA and having the team purposely have no bench/depth/veterans makes that a hard goal unless we had a couple players turn into superstar players this season. I thought there was a chance of getting up to the 5th until Dante went down but even with Dante I thought that was a reach.

Most disappointing season by far was the Al Jefferson/Dwill traded/Sloan quit season, not even close.

Close games that come down to one shot tend to be luck. Great teams are inconsistent as well in those situations. Lebron's teams have been the best one year and one of the worst the next year in close games. Jazz hit big shots in close game and make some big stops but it has been an unlucky year. We are a .500 team though and have a lot of close games. Elite teams dont have as many close games, they win earlier and dont let it come down to a last second shot nearly as often.
This 100%

So you expect a team that is coming of a 25 win season and a 37 win season the last two years to suddenly win around 50 games and get home court advantage without their starting point guard, their two starting big men missing around 40 games combined, their 6th man missing close to 40 games, and without any additions to the team other than trey lyles, neto, and pliess.

Sounds like the expectations were to high.

He will soon be the answer to this dilemma. Our leader in the making.

This season has undoubtedly been frustrating but you have to keep it in perspective. The fact that this team was even able to keep up with the 2 best teams in the league, let alone be in a position to beat them, is extremely impressive. Even more so when considering their age/experience level combined with the fact that they're missing 2 of their most important pieces & playing without much depth due to it.

This team has a very bright future. Retaining Hayward (hopefully at a reasonable price) & getting/staying healthy are the main concerns, much more so than closing out games. That will come with time, experience, health, & hopefully an additional scorer.

Yup. And how about that Cleveland game earlier this year?

5th seed. Fighting for 4th.

No one on the planet expected 4th seed for this team, even before Exum got hurt.

5th was the lofty ceiling-- and in hindsight we easily would have achieved it without injuries.
