Jazz Clippers trade

Ok this combined with taking JHS definitely feels like an investment in the tank and not much else.

Also I'm kinda thinking DA sees additional value in sabotaging OKC by helping the Clippers.
Eubanks/Mills in no way helped the Jazz win games...

It's about finagling any and all draft capital. Utah finally seems like they understand second rounders have at least some kind of value.

Agreed. Utah snagged three seconds in a week for basically being a cap dumpster. I suspect there's some ambition there around draft time simply because we aren't wasting roster spots on 2nd rounders.

That's a shame Bamba would have been a real asset for the tank.
I mean, he would probably add more wins than playing Filipowski at the backup 5, but that's why you dont play him. You know what Bamba is. He's a low tier 4th big, probably inline with the same value a Eubanks brings. No reason to play him.

And they didn’t waive Tucker. This means:
1) the Jazz are determined to keep a roster spot open and ready
2) they determined Tucker (or at least his salary) is more useful to keep through the deadline.
I think one of the Jazz's beatwriters--Ryan Miller--has tweeted that it's #2.
