vslice
PG Deron Williams (00's Jazz)/Pete Maravich (70's Jazz)
SG Michael Jordan (90's NBA)/Dell Curry (80's Jazz)
SF Paul Pierce (00's NBA)/CJ Miles (10's Jazz)
PF Dave Cowens (70's NBA)/Antoine Carr (90's Jazz)
C Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (80's NBA)/Dwight Howard (10's NBA)

That's super close. I'd give the edge in PG and PF to prodigy's team, with the edge in SG and C to slices's team...and the SF is pretty damn equal. I may give just the slightest edge to Prodigy's team here, but it feels like a coin flip.

Prodigy. He is better everywhere on starters besides Jordan. Vslice has the stronger bench because of Howard, but not too much stronger.

You are aware that this is 90's Hakeem vs 80's Kareem? 90's Hakeem would wipe the floor with 80's Kareem (maybe not wipe, but Im fairly confident Hakeem would own him).

I think Slice should start Howard at PF or C for defense and rebounds. Hakeem still wins that match-up, but at least Howard has some physicality.

I just think that DWill would really struggle trying to guard Magic. That's a potential mis-match in the post that requires a double-team, and I think Durant would have an advantage on Pierce if he's used well.

I'm going to say that Jordan plays faster and at a higher level than anyone else on the floor and pick VSlice's team. I'd put Jordan on Magic and start Howard at C.

Man I have gone back and forth on this for several days, but I guess I am ready to make a call. vslice has better defensive bigs and defense wins championships. Also, having the best player to ever play the game in Jordan gives vslice the slight edge. Sorry Prodigy congradulations on making it to the finals. Oh, and it would have been darn hard for me to vote for a team with charmin Boozer on it to.

vslice team is pretty stacked, to my fairness he had 1st pick in a lot of rounds while i had 2nd lol

though i like my team and feel i drafted as well as i could

IMO Jordan's ability to defend Magic (I'd slide Deron over to Goodrich) and no viable defensive answer for MJ at the other end give my team a slight advantage. Obviously I'm going to think my own team is pretty formidable but I'll totally admit I received several breaks in the process. First, I took advantage of the draft order in that I picked last in the initial Jazz players-only round which precipitated into #1 overall picks in the 90's and 80's NBA-rounds. Second (excluding my own team) I thought Prodigy and Numberica had the two strongest teams so I caught another break with those two squaring off in the first-round.

Regardless of how the voting turns out, with no nba basketball on the horizon this was alot of fun to participate in - so major thanks to prodigy for putting it together.

I was surprised no one drafted Oscar Robertson and there should have been coaches picked how the players arevused by coaches would determine a lot. Like if prodigy had Jackson and slice had Sloan would change things for me.

Oscar Robertson's best years were in the 60's. By far.

The way I look at it is outside of Jordan, Prodigy is ahead at all positions - Then again I can honestly say I don't know much about Cowens.

The benches are pretty equal with maybe the slight edge to Vslice with Howard/Maravich but Hakeem vs. Jabbar (80's) isnt even close and same with Magic vs. Williams. No one is gonig to stop JOrdan though on the other side but Goodrich/Matthews isn't a bad defensive pair to throw at him.

Under which decade rules this game would be played?
Under current rules Jordan will score 40+ at will

'80s Kareem over '90s Olajuwon? Not a chance.
