Biggest douche in the world owned the team down there not the Jazz. It was much better for the Jazz to have the team close by but if they have full control and its close it will be good for the team.
The pulled that stunt claiming Jordan was coming to play with Byron but was just a hoax to get people to by tickets. I didn't go to the game because I knew Jordan wasn't coming to play a rematch game but that really pisses fans off to pull stunts like that.
