Jazz draft grades

I'd say A for both.

Edey would have been an A+, moving up for Dadiet would have been an A+

Filipowski at 32 is A+

Most web sites I've check show a solid B.

I think it was CBS that gave Collier a B. WTF. At 29? lol

Collier is a beast and I can honestly see him outplaying Keyonte sooner rather than later.

Williams is an A - the dude played with like three injuries last season and he shot a lot better earlier in the season - the fact he didn't hang it up shows he's tough.

Kyle is an A - he may not have been the player I REALLY wanted but he fills a need and I think his floor is pretty good. He'll do what he's asked - I think he'll be Hardy's version of Snyder/Royce in that Royce performed his role as best he could even when Snyder put him in ****** situations (like when he made Royce guard certain power forwards and it was clearly a bad idea) - it really endeared Royce to Snyder.

Bleacher Report was an A on Williams and a C on Collier.

It's crazy, isn't t? We literally got Collier on a cheap contract and he's going to be a RFA so he's a Jazz man for a while. He's also going to be a better pure PG than George and Sexton as he's a better passer and from what I've seen a better defender as well (I still love Sexton and the fact he's so efficient and is on a good contract = I want to keep him on The Jazz).

The funny part is Locke said Williams and Collier would both be top-3 picks at the beginning of the college season - Collier was the #1 high school recruit and mocks had Williams going #1 so it's a solid statement.

Yeah /, can't be a C.

To me draft grades are what you did vs what you could have done.

So for me Williams is an A because it was the 2nd best case scenario next to getting Edey.

For Collier we probably had the ability to trade up for Dadiet, so I give Collier an A because it wasn't the best case for me, but close.

Filipowski is an A+ because I really don't see a better move that could have happened with the 32nd pick.

Williams - B+ I wanted Carter but I’m good with this.

Collier - B+ great talent but there were other really good talents still there that fit better, (Tyler Smith)

Filipowski - A This pick just makes so much sense, if he progresses. He could allow us to spread the court and unlock the offense if he truely has the ball skills they say he has

Tyler Smith is a quarter as talented as Collier and he fits worse.....

Not sure about this. I think those grades are a bit about luck too. Whoever falls is out of your hands, but it certainly matters as to how good you think the draft went.

The only pick I would not have made myself was Williams. Carter was my guy there, but I wasn’t over the moon about anyone at that spot.

I found Matas to be more intriguing as well. He has better physical tools and defensive playmaking.

Probably not worth making a separate thread about this, but I want to see the grades/writings from outlets about the Jazz draft.

Anyone have access to stuff from the Athletic, DX, or ESPN+ and wanna post?
