Jazz FA rumors

Okay, then if the Jazz don't sign players, they'll spend the money anyway. Hence, they're motivated to sign players.

Actually not necessarily. If the Jazz hold back than all those teams that are over the salary cap are going to be desperate to dump some salaries and will be willing to give up future draft picks.

Jazz can be very pick with who they sign. I agree they are somewhat motivated but they might be more interested in getting draft picks if we can take some expiring contracts off their hands.

Maybe having Neto will help the Jazz get Splitter, I think they said in the interview that Neto and Splitter are best friends and Splitter was constantly telling the Spurs to watch him.

Older than Goodwin, younger than MKG.

Of course. Albeit a small one.

Bro, I'm not PKM. I hate Kentucky.

That makes sense then. Vescey was a giant douchebag that anyone who followed the NBA closely in the 90's would remember.

So -- the Jazz are approaching Chris Copeland and OJ Mayo, then probably working back to Demarre Carroll and Randy Foye.

I'm sure a PG will enter the mix at some point, but maybe we're discussing a trade for that.

What's Vescey doing now BTW? I would have thought he'd burnt most of his bridges by now...

Peter Vecsey: Jazz hoping to re-sign Jamaal Tinsley. Knicks have him targeted as well. Possibly Nets, tho may have more eyes 4 Shaun Livingston & Ridnour

Ken Berger: As free agency opens, the Charlotte Bobcats are pursuing Jazz forward Al Jefferson, a league source tells @CBSSports

The Jazz could target players such as former Jazz forward Kyle Korver, or any number of his Atlanta Hawks free-agent teammates. Andrei Kirilenko, an All-Star for the Jazz in 2004, opted out of $10 million in Minnesota over the weekend but is not expected to be a Jazz target, according to a source - SLT

Jared Zwerling: League source: The Jazz and Lakers are the first two teams to officially inquire about Chris Copeland. No talk of offers yet. #Knicks

Not absolutely sure what the rumor mill's fascination is with the Jazz targeting their former players and pick ups.

I'm on board with Tinsley. That severly limits the chance that another PG comes in and starts over Burke. I think it is the right move.

Glad to see Big Al has suitors. Good guy just not the right fit here. I am glad the Jazz are showign interest in Millsap but I doubt he will sign here.

Most curious to see what the Jazz do at C/PF and for a wing.

*Brofist* I think Tinsley understands what his role is/was better than Watson.

And it's also a sneaky way to pay our players more than what their contracts state. Who wouldn't like a nice bonus check over and above what their contract entitles them to?

Very good point. Yes, it was Splitter who told the Spurs about Neto. I'd be on board with Tiago. Gobert is a project. At best, he inherits Kanters old role (10 mins). Splitter could play around 25 mins and that still gives Kanter and Favors 30+.
