Players are not the only parts moving in the offseason...

You may remember the Jazz hired former agent Justin Zanik as assistant GM in 2014. In May of 2016 he left the Jazz to join the Milwaukee Bucks, the idea was that he would be the GM in waiting for Milwaukee.

This is what Dennis Lindsey had to say about Justin Zanik before he left,
“Justin had balanced doing a really good job for his clients but also consistently striking deals that were win-wins for his client and the team,” Lindsey said. “Because of that, he had really good relations around the league … Justin instantaneously brought very good relationships — internationally, with other teams, with the large majority of the agencies that we most commonly do business with.”

Now after Milwaukee has repeatedly tried to hire a new GM and has not offered Zanik the job, rumours appear that he may be headed back to Utah.

Sentiment among several NBA officials is that Justin Zanik will wind up back in Utah. #NBA Justin Zanik, Milwaukee Bucks

Rumour is no-one knows who is leading the Bucks draft preparation (I guess it is Kidd) and Zanik is already out.

Jazz trusted Zanik. Lindsey and Locke both gush over him. So please welcome back Mr. Zanik.

Had this thought as well. Would love to have the guy back. Also has new/different connections and other intel. Many have a high opinion of him.

There's some talk of him becoming GM under Billups in Cleveland. Not sure how quickly that could get instituted or who's actually navigating all their draft stuff and such, but that could work in our favor (no pun intended) to being the third team in a Love/George trade.

Hope he realizes what a **** storm it is to work for Dan Gilbert and comes back home.
