Jazz promised to pick CJ Miles in the first pick but then passed on him and then taking him at 34. Personally I don't think the Jazz make promises they can't keep. If they really liked him I don't think they would let people know it. I do like him at 23. I think he will be a steal. Jazz need shooters coming off the bench.

Jordan Adams was drafted one pick ahead of the Jazz by Memphis Grizzlies, and one spot after Mitch McGary. Still on the board- Rodney Hood, Clint Capella, Jerami Grant, Jordan Clarkson, Dwight powell, Nikola Jokic, Kyle Anderson and others.
Jordan Adams played in 32 NBA games in 2 seasons. The grizzles exercised his third year option in october 2015 and they waived him in October 2016.

How does it make no sense? People said Tristan was undersized and didnt play D. He has changed that narrative through his work ethic. Randle has the work ethic.

This is just flat out not true.
People said that he was "short" but his wingspan made up for it. They also said he projected as a plus defender.

TT 6'8" without shoes 7'1" wingspan 30" vert. Randle 6'8" without shoes 7'0" wingspan 29" vert.
TT favorable D outlook. Randle at average. Not a massive difference and these are draft projections. Comparing these two isnt apples and oranges.

Maybe the fact that Randle has never shown to be even an average defender at any level of basketball has something to do with that? Effort helps with defense, but if you just suck at defense, effort won't be enough. Randle just sucks at defense.
Do you understand how hard it is for an athletic big at Kentucky to be bad at defense? Damn near never happens. It's an indictment on the player.

Look, I said I like Randle because hes a workhorse. Somebody said he sucks because he's small and doesnt play D. #1, he's the exact same size as TT and probably bigger than Draymond. Is he as good defensively, hell no. However, he will have an impact on the game through rebounding, hustle and better O than TT.
So I still like him. He actually would be a decent fit next to Gobert in hindsight.
