What's new

Jazz have a game in less than an hour (UTA @ OKC)

That Adams dude looks huge and way more polished than what I remember seeing in pre-draft videos. He may be a gem in the making.

Yea Kanter seems can not post up on him. He's got good lateral quickness and can get rebound too

Kanter should be owning him.

Why should he? He is smaller and lighter and Adams is really good defender. I see actually opposite happening, Adams already blocked two Kanter shots and has more rebounds in 6 minutes less playing time.

The defensive rebounding part for Kanter really made me worried. He seems generally out of the position and can not box out his man. Also, his defensive awareness is just really bad. He's gotta improve on defensive side dramatically. Lateral quickness must be priority for him too.

I have been saying this for months. His defense awareness is terrible. And it's why I believe he and Favors balance each other out so well. One for offense, one for defense.

Kanter is not in the best shape due to the shoulder limiting his strength conditioning in the off season. Let's give him a break.

Kanter's got potential to be way much better defender. If he can do, Favors will not make easy fouls and stay on the floor more min. Somebody needs to teach him how to show up on PnR and make help defense. His defensive fundemental is just bad.

Not true. Both of them have the same standing reach and nearly the same verticals.

This guy looks like a defensive-minded-version of Kanter to me.. :D

But back 2 topic Enes isn't focussing on defensive rebounds anymore. Since his sophomore-year he is preferring to be a fast-break-option. In his rookieseason he was after every defensive rebound and now he changes his focus and relying on Favors which makes me sick because Enes is not the one who should finish fast breaks.

[.

My point was that Adams is taller and heavier. Which is true ( Kanter dropped weight to 248lbs since pre draft combine) . How Adams has 3 inches on wingspan, inch on height and same standing reach as Kanter is mystery to me. Only explanation would be that he has much wider shoulders.

Adams seems Zaza esque to me. Good defender, good rebounder, strong body and can score when he's suitable under the rim or catch miss match.
