Ohhhh can't wait for clutchfans.net meltdown. they are so used to Harden's ******** bailing them out. Can't wait for the playoffs.
Imagine if Jesus Christ were walking the earth today and he restored the sight to a blind man only to have the blind man waste his new vision on watching James Harden play basketball. He'd be so pissed.
Neto and Burks played pretty decent at the PG spot tonight and getting production there really helped with Hill out. Exum was also playing okay, I am surprised he got no more minutes in the second half. He did get one dumb foul and had one dumb turnover but he was playing good defense, made a good pass and had a good drive in his few minutes on the court. I think between those three we can hold down the PG spot just fine next year without Hill. Although it would be wise to get one more veteran PG that could start but is not expecting to next season. One that is going to be cheaper than Hill. Unless we can sign Hill for a good deal or if he really does wonders for us in the Playoffs.
They're a typical D'Antoni team, all about offence and no defence. It's rare that they win if they score under 120 points. And any time they score under 110, it's almost always a loss.
Their roster is poorly constructed. Harden, Gordon and Williams are all high-usage players who can't share the court, and can't defend worth a damn. Anderson is a 3-and-no-D stretch 4 who can't rebound. Ariza and Beverley are 3-and-D players but are afterthoughts on offence. Capela is their only two-way player and best rebounder, but they play him less than half the game.
They rely heavily on three-point shooting for offence. They have five players who average 7 three-point attempts per game or more, and average more than 40 attempts as a team. By comparison, Hood, Hayward and Hill are all around 5 threes per game and we average 26 as a team. Tonight we held Harden to 0-8 from deep (although he did get points off "shooting fouls"), the team to only 32 three-point attempts, and their score under 110 and we won. Of course Harden won't always shoot like that but anytime any of their shooters goes cold they'll be vulnerable.
If Ingles can bring the ball up against Patrick Beverly I'm convinced he can be a backup PG.
You'd think a coach would learn his lesson from his Phoenix days. I could see them winning a playoff series or two but will never make it to a finals just like his suns and that team was better constructed.
Ya we ain't catching them.pretty unlikely they've got an easier run to the playoffs by a fair margin
This is true but no coach and no realistic roster changes are getting them past a healthy Ws team and probably not past Spurs anyways.
Ya and I thought that was high tbh. Didn't really think we had a chance.True statement
20%???? *********!!!
Obviously not, I'm speaking of his tenure as a whole With Houston.

Glad to be way wrong.Due to guys sitting out this is a game where guys who usually play well (gobert, hayward) will need to play great and guys who mostly play ok (hood) need to play good and guys who mostly play below average (burks, exum, diaw, neto) need to play ok and guys who usually suck (lyles) need to play ok in order to win.
I give the jazz a 20% chance for a win.
Most likely they get blown out.
Weird. Every possession I thought we'd scoreIt's so weird playing the Rockets. It didn't even really feel like the offence was running that well, yet we just continued to put up points.
The definition of insanity is continuing to do something that doesn't workI think he is getting the most out of his roster, which is all you can ask of a coach. Look at what they were last year.
Glad to be way wrong.
Houston with a meltdown loss in SA has a carry over into this game. A mentally weakened Rockets team comes out sloppy, Jazz by 7.

JazzAvenues I cannot wait for your thread tomorrow. You bet get ripped 50 times for it.
Houston only had 8 turnovers tonight. Harden had 6 of them.James Harden is averaging almost 6 turnovers a game. Six! He's had 10+ four times this year.
