What's new

Jazz @ Houston Rockettes (6pm MT Time)

Stupid DL blew it by not trading for Lou. Instead Houston gets him, and just look what happens. I told ya all DL sucks and the Millers are cheap and the sky is falling...

Oh, we won? Nvmnd

Such a satisfying win. The most satisfying of the year, or at least it's up there.

I hate Harden so much. I've never seen a player get so many BS calls when he shoots a 3. Well him and Jamal Crawford back in the day. I should probably hate the refs more for allowing to be worked like bitches and then falling for his crap time and time again. **** you refs.

If the Jazz can find this level of play consistently, it's going to be an exciting postseason.

I know it's kind of crazy to say, but I LOVED that we held them to attempting only 32 three's this game. They've recently had multiple games where they've hoisted up over 50! Houston's not going to take any mid-range shots so run them off the 3-point line and funnel them to Rudy.

Hard to put a finger on as to why, but i enjoy watching the jazz play when hill is not playing. Maybe they have to be more gritty or there's more of an organic team chemistry on court. Obviously Hill makes the team more competitive and composed during key stretches and we want him there. Can anyone else relate to this?

NOO only a home rausie can relate to that.

because it means more minutes for exum! that's why you enjoy it more

I'm the same. Hill is so inconsistent in terms of putting pressure on opposition defences. One game he will be in a attack mode, next game he will defer. When Hill is attacking the teams looks amazing but when he defers, so of our possessions become a lot harder to watch. At least with Exum this season he is looking to attack when he is on the floor and whilst some possessions end up getting ugly at least he is trying to penetrate. Compared to Hill who may or may not penetrate depending on what game it is.

Simply put I can live with ugly possessions from Dante but I expect better consistency from Hill.

Just shows you that we can beat the best of them when we are on.

Hood is such a key for us. When he is hitting shots we are tough to beat. Too many weapons.
Gobert is a ****ing beast. Hayward took it to another level.

Neto, Burks, and Withey all gave us a little something off the bench. Total team effort.

and clutchfans is sad tonight. all is well in the world

WHAT A GAME! WHAT A WIN! **** YOU JAMES HARDEN!!!

Seriously though has there been a more painful "superstar" to watch in the history of the NBA?

Hood was back to his best. We are a true contender when He, Rudy and Gordon are firing.

Play of the day was that block! My god Hayward, competitive fire in that boys heart. Made some huge shots and plays tonight also.

The hand of to Rudy at the 3pt line, turn, dribble, drive and dunk... HTF do you stop that? Keep ballin big fella.

Sidenote;

Game plan was excellent tonight. Thought we would have gone to "hack-a-Capella" at some stage but maybe Quin is holding a few cards up his sleave. Houston are SOOO predictable... run them off the 3pt line (to rudy), cover Harden and wait on his pass to Capella for TO or just foul Capella...

Also, do all these fouls Houston "draws" through them out of their rhythm/tempo??

Hill is the most consistent player we have outside of Gobert/Hayward...

What's with this revisionist history on his season already? The guy is dealing with a gnarly toe.

Jazz went into Houston and beat them. Go to ESPN's Jazz page and these are the clips on the game in order:

Johnson nails clutch 3-pointer in win
Hayward's perfect pass leads to Gobert dunk
Harden brings out the swat team
Harden drives through traffic for layup
Harden connect with Capela from half court
Harden breezes past Gobert for layup
Harden to Capela is a sweet connection

5-2 in the Houston Hardens favor is progress I guess. No Neto block, Gobert block, Hayward block, Gobert slam...

I suspect the recent occasional inconsistency from Hill is related to his toe. It's probably hard to be as agressive when you're in pain.

Needed rule change...

Harden rule(even though it's a league plague)

If an offensive player impedes into a defensive players set path, arm space, or air trajectory , it is an offensive foul. If that defensive player impedes into the offensive players path it is a defensive foul. If a defensive player is airborne and on a trajectory outside of the offensive players path, he has the right of path, and should only be called a foul if said defender initiates said contact.

Poorly worded and not the definitive solution, but something along these lines.
