We are winning this series in 6.

Rudy needs to match any minutes Powell plays.

Pick any other 4 out of this lineup with Donovan to play small and these lineups need to get majority of the minutes:

Clarkson
House
Bogey
Paschall
Royce
Conley

Put Donovan on DFS and make House the main defender on Brunson. Switch everything.

What about when Luka comes back?

I like how our net rating when going small all season is like -20 something and yet a bunch of fans are freaking out over a miniscule sample size where going small against Bertans worked for a few minutes (and didn't work at all in the following small ball stint in the same game).

Kleber is 14/21 from 3 with Rudy on the floor. When Rudy is off of the floor we can switch everything and the paint opens up on offense and we can do what we want on that end.

I don’t know how you have watched this series and don’t think small ball is the answer. Playing Rudy tons of minutes just isn’t going to work.

There is no reason why this team shouldn't be able to win this series...

Which means there is some reason why they ARE NOT winning this series that has nothing to do with talent and potential.

If the team gets that **** figured out then they will win. Will they figure it out? I don't know. I'm not sure they even want to figure it out.

What?

Rudy is one of our best perimeter defenders, and is far from the reason the Jazz can't play good defense by switching everything.

I don't know how you've watched this season and think small ball is the answer. Placing a higher value on a few minute sample size over an entire season's worth is absolutely insane - especially since our small ball didn't even work against their starters later in the 4th quarter.

There are some exceptions, no Conley and Royce at the same time.

My dude are you watching the games? Our small ball outscored them from 5:33 in the 3rd to 8:55 in the 4th 31-18.

Lol dudes will go to the grave defending Rudy like it’s their life mission **** is hilarious. Did anyone else see how easily we scored the ball and got into the paint when Rudy went out? We scored 31 points in a little over 8 minutes. We did the same thing to them that they do to us. They can’t guard us.

And then they torched our small ball later in the 4th.

Our small ball also worked well in our last regular season matchup with them for the first quarter. And then they figured it out and torched us.

When Kleber was in foul trouble and Bertans was playing center for them? We torched Dallas with Bertans on the court in Games 1 and 2 as well, (WITH Rudy on the court).

Lol when Rudy came off the court later in the 4th we were down 5 and the Mavs scored the next possession to go up 7. Then Rudy came back in 2 minutes later. They outscored us 4-2 yeah they really torched us.

How do dudes like this spew literal lies like facts and act like they know what they’re talking about?

This. I believe we could have won it all last year, or even this year, with the pieces we’ve got. I’ve always preached that the psychology of the game is much more impactful than the talent. You need a certain level of talent for sure, and there’s a threshold you need to cross that, below such, you just won’t go anywhere. And there’s certainly a talent level that can put you up and mitigate most of the psychological stuff. An example from this year is Boston. Everyone thought that franchise was going nowhere earlier in the year. Now all of the sudden people are talking about them contending. That’s not because the team is different. It’s because things came together and the overall team changed as a result. Our team could be so much better, even without huge personnel changes (unless you count the coach as personnel). I think every single year we’ve been in the playoffs (sans the Al Jefferson year), I’ve had a belief that we had a pathway to win it all. This is the first year that I’ve felt the exact opposite. While I feel there’s a pathway there, I really have no realistic expectation, based on everything we’ve seen, that we can seize that moment.

Our team is like the kids who dropped out of high school their senior year. They went through 12-13 years of ****** school and at the very last second, when they have to put forth such little effort to cap off that decade+, they just say “nah, **** it,” and then end up making the road forward so much more difficult when they thought they were taking the easy way out.

Maybe they can, but they dont. When rudy (or whiteside) is in the other team gets open threes. I dont know exactly why that is but it just is. When he (and whiteside) wasn't in they weren't getting open threes. They were still scoring a lot no doubt, but not via open threes and we were scoring even more than them.

What?

They were still getting wide open threes. They missed several of them near the end of the 3rd.

The Mavs out scored us 4-2 in a 2 minute span late in the 4th when we were down 7 when Rudy came out and that is torching us according to MT Steve.

But our 31-18 8 minute stretch is a small sample size.

Clown ****
