Early season litmus test! Jazz are officially 4 point underdogs. If the Jazz win despite having a discombobulated offense, it will get the attention of all Jazz fanz that we are headed for a great year! Our new point guard is certainly not going to shoot 2-16 again, is he? Anything less than 20 team assists will be disappointing to me. If the Jazz lose and have 15 or less assists, I will be calling for the immediate return of Rubio!
 
I actually think Bojan and Royce can do a solid job on LeBron... Rudy can give AD some issues... I guess if Royce or Bojan have to guard Howard or McGee and they beat you then you’ve done your job? Maybe Rudy guards the center and you put Bojan on AD and funnel him to Rudy. I don’t think Bojan will be terrible in the post on defense... I think he can hold his ground somewhat.

maybe just use a zone scheme and make em beat you from the outside.

this will be a tough one... they have a lot of plus defenders in the starting lineup and if LeBron is locked in we may be in trouble.

we will need to shoot well and the bench will need to outplay the Lakers bench to win... definitely doable. I think we are the underdog tonight but we shall see.
 
What do the Lakers do about Donovan? They don't really have anything that will amount to a speed bump for him.

He hasn’t met our medical staff doe... they are pretty conservative. He may have to fight them.

Avery Bradley and Danny Green are good/great defenders. They will have AD and McGee/Howard to pack the paint. I think there are going to be a lot of kick outs to shooters... gotta make those shots tonight.
 
Might need to try and get LeBron switched onto DM and let him go to work... at least make him give effort on that end or see how locked in his is on defense in October.

Avery Bradley *was* a great defender. He's washed now though.

Probably Avery Bradley, Danny Green and KCP will guard him. If Troy Daniels or Quin Cook are on the floor, the Jazz will probably hunt that matchup. If the Jazz can get McGee or Davis in a high screen/roll, maybe Mitchell attacks those guys.

I'd like to see if Lebron is really going to commit to playing defense. It would be worth having Mitchell and Bojan challenge him.

Danny is still great... Bradley is still solid/good.
