Yeah if LeBron doesn't have the longest injury of his career, this is probably a different story. Overall, AD's selfish trade demand pretty much wrecked the seasons for two teams which should be playoff bound.

This. Anthony Davis' big trade demand should be viewed as sabotage and punishable in some way. It's just total **** that a player can **** around with so many other people's lives and livelihood like that with zero repercussions.

If he wants to give notice and quit like it's a real job, let him. But then he will be in breach of contract and there should be some negative consequence, you know like there would be for all of us regular people.

Such ******** is ruining the league.

Historically speaking the Lakers and Jazz have been bitter rivals, but currently? Nah, there is no rivalry because the Lakers are irrelevant right now. And I just don’t see much animosity or any dislike brewing between the players.

The real rivalries that I see developing are against Denver, OKC, Houston, and GS.

Oh, and the Celtics off course.

**** the Lakers. Hope Kawhi stays in Toronto and Davis is traded to Mars and stays there.

Im just the opposite. I think guys like George and AD did their franchises a favor, as opposed to DWill and Hayward. With DWill, KOC guessed he would leave since he wouldnt verbally commit. DL guessed wrong about Hayward and Utah was left with nothing after investing so much time in him, and trying to build the team around him.

New Orleans got good trade proposals from LA. But theyre hoping for Tatum.

I may not like players demanding trades, but look at it this way...its not a free market. Unlike us, who cam interview with anyone we want to, in any city, pro athletes are drafted. They have to play in a city for a number of years, even if they hate the place.

During the off-season, PG told management he wouldn't re-sign with them. I can respect that.

AD, while his team was still in the playoff race, demanded a trade. He could have easily waited until the summer to subtly make his demand. He deserves zero respect for what he did.

@LoPo
There's something called the trade deadline.AD gave NO a chance to trade him before the deadline. It was NO that decided to wait on the Celtics. More than likely, they already have the trade details worked out. Its just the stupid NBA that prevented a trade at the deadline.

While I agree a demand is best kept private, sometimes stuff gets said or done in public. If anything, a public statement like AD made stimulates the market. The other 29 teams know immediately he's up for grabs and can make proposals accordingly. I really blame the NBA. Without that stupid rule in place, AD would have been traded to the Celtics.

The Butler and Kwahi situations were way worse.

It would be one thing to go to the organization and work with them in private to get something done. It's something else entirely to just throw it out through the media then basically stop playing.

How do you know he didn't and then got frustrated nothing was happening. That's exactly what happened with Enes Kanter. I remember the story that he and his agent had requested a trade months before Kanter went public.
