What's new

Jazz @ Lakers - Sunday, March 18, 7:30pm

Two things that really pissed me off in the 1st half...

1- The fact that Kobe didn't get at least 1 technical foul in that last minute stretch is a miscarriage of justice! He runs down a ref up the court screaming at him and no technical?? Gimme a break!

2- Corbin... Don't bench Burks just because he takes 1 quick shot and misses... Please don't do that... I think this kid has Kobe Bryant/Dwayne Wade type talent, but they only become that when allowed to play through some of their mistakes... Now if he takes about 2-3 quick shots like that, then yeah, yank him...

I want one of these gamechangers... But this damn Jerry Sloan philosophy (not all of it mind you, I've seen a lot of better trends from Corbin) needs to take a hike!

This is a new league, with new kinds of players... It's not the 1980s anymore, quit coaching like it is!

I'm actually proud of the refs for not giving in to Kobe's bitching about not getting calls. Wish they would T him up, but I will take it.

Kobe is looking like just a regular player out there. Not sure what the deal is, but he can't take people anymore.

Kanter with 6/4 in 8 minutes shows he's holding his own.

Sure would be great if we could get a long, skilled, athletic SF to play instead of Howard and Miles.

I agree with the approach with Burks that you're recommending. As long as Burks doesn't go crazy, I think he needs to have the confidence to use his speed and cutting to create and finish. I get worried that he'll be tempered too much, but I do like how he's been a little more efficient lately due to the apparent coaching.

That shot at the top of the key reminded me of Dwayne Wade (the one that he made)... The crossover, step back shot... Like I said, I understand the concept of "playing within the offense", but you don't yank the kid after one quick shot, especially when it was an open shot...

Kobe, Wade, James, etc does this crap all of the time, and it's because they've had coaches "let them" become the star they should be...

I think Burks is that kind of player... The question is, will the coaches stop him from being that player??

Kobe does look pretty slow tonight, he may have a nagging injury we are not aware of.

Hayward infuriates me. He was so passive when we needed a spark off the bench. I hope he gets this crap out of his system over the rest of the season and never does it again. The bench in general played a little passive and star-struck.

without kobe, lakers has the worst perimeter players in the league
