Jazz lineup you'd like to see

I don't think I'm alone in thinking the Jazz ought to have more than 1 starting lineup in their repetoir. We simply aren't good enough to match up against different teams and styles of play using the exact same lineup.
Here's one I'd like to see us try vs taller teams:

SG Burks (defend opponent's PG)
SG Bell
SF Hayward (point forward)
PF Kanter
C Jefferson

IMO, both this year's rookies are making major contributions when they get the minutes. Kanter has been used to defend taller PF's at times and greatly slowed their production when he replaced Millsap. I think he's got a more level head than Favors and wouldn't 'freak' if we started him.

If we're up vs a smaller speedier team, I'd start Favors at C and Millsap at PF.

Other ideas??

I'm not overly concerned about who's starting right now. I think we need to start who we intend to trade in the future (so we're not trading a bench player). I would just simply like to see the longer term plays get more minutes and, just as importantly, make adjustments to with whom they're on the floor with. For example (though this goes for all the newbies and their specific roles), I'd like to see how Kanter plays with Jefferson, vs. Favors, vs. Millsap, etc.

I like how you chose the only frontcourt combination that doesn't work.

PG - Burks (Slashing / Let him bring up the ball & pass to Hayward to initiate offense)
SG - Hayward (Playmaking / shooting)
SG - Howard (Slashing)
PF - Favors (Defend & rebound)
C - Jefferson (Scoring)

Watson
Burks
Hayward
Favors
Kanter

Time to admit we are not a contender. Develop the young guys. I don't however necessarily think this lineup should start. But they should be on the floor as a unit for 15-20 MPG. If we can move some of our vets for a good young PG or SF that would be great.

I really like Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson a lot. Them two are probably my favorite players on the team, more then Favors, Kanter, Burks, and Hayward. I just love how everyone wants them to leave and yet they aren't even that old and are playing really well despite both of them being undersized. However I have to be one of those people that want them to leave! Kanter and Favors deserve minutes and it pains me that players like Markieff Morris and Tristen Thompson are getting far more minutes and aren't as good as both Kanter and Favors.

Yeah, I like how Ty said before the season started that there would be a lot of starting lineups..... um....

Burks
Bell
Hayward
Favors
Kanter

Mine would be

Harris
Bell
Hayward
Favors
Jefferson

Favors + Jefferson and Sap + Kanter both compliment each other well.

Bell + Hayward are our best outside shooters, so they should be paired with Jefferson.

That's crazy talk. I say we just bench all the vets, and wait for their contracts to expire.

Seriously though, I'm going to be extremely disappointed if we can't get some trade value out of 2 or 3 players by the trade deadline.

Lol. You should just hope for 1.

pg- Burks I know people say that we have seen how this works out, and he really did play poorly earlier in the season at pg, but I still think we need to see if there is any future with him at the pg.
sg- Hayward- He has played well at times at SF, but he expends a lot of energy guarding larger, longer, stronger SF's. I would like to see him use his height advantage and not focus so much on defense and see him be more aggressive on offense.
sf- Anyone but Howard. The guy is a shell of his former(one month ago) self.
Kanter- Plays well consistently for a 19 yr old. Gets every rebound and when he isn't playing scared on offense he shows that he has an array of impressive moves. I would really like to see him extent his range and start taking some 15-20 foot jumpers. I am tired of him getting the ball at the free throw line and put the ball above his head, giving him no other option but to pass. He has proven that he makes decent decisions, I think it is time that Coach Corbin gives him a little longer of a leash.
Favors- Sometimes he plays like he is a few decent post moves from being an all-star, and sometimes he plays like he just woke up. He really needs to work on always playing at a high energy level.

I am not saying this should be our starting line up... We would probably consistently be down 10-15 points after the first quarter but I still feel that this is a lineup that we do need to get on the floor together at points. Maybe for now they only get on together when we are losing big or winning big, but Ty needs to gradually start getting this guys on the floor more and more together(Besides simply platooning Kanter and Favors for Big Al and Millsap) Hopefully we see some signs of progression and they start getting meaningful time together.

Another thought I had today is what will our summer league team look like? Will favors, hayward, and evans be on it? I know they might be a little old for it but with this years lock out they missed all of the off-season stuff that could really boost their confidence. If they play, as well and Burks and Kanter, plus our draft pick(s) from this year, we could have a very fun summer league team to watch.

My lineup:
Harris
Hayward
Miles
Favors
Jefferson

Ah who am I kidding...this lineup is boring to watch and each player has his own problems that he can't fix and/or I can't stop complaining about. Either Jefferson gets burried on PnR's, Harris gives up, or Miles is chuck.

Here's my lineup.
Burks
Hayward
Evans
Favors
Kanter

If these guys screw up, it's OK because it's a rookie mistake.
