Jazz looking for another 1st round pick in the 20's.

Not its own thread, but the idea of a pick in the twenties has been in like ten of the threads on the first page, including one that references this very article.

i hope there is truth to this rumor. this is a deep draft and the jazz need to get another pick in the mid-late 1st round. chicago and miami want to trade their pick.

I like either Damion James or Dominique Jones in the late-20's. Maybe Lawal. All of those guys could be solid backups. Or take a flyer on a big: one of the following should be available in the early 20's: Whiteside, Brackins, Orton, Seraphin, or Sanders.

Chicago wants to unload Hienrich or Deng to have room for 2 max players. Thats probably the only way you get their pick. Miami's would be easier to get , but is pretty low.

Aside from trading Harpring's TPE for Beasley and Miami's 1st, I would rather the Jazz make some moves in the 2nd round to end up with Randle and Pittman (Shved would be ok, too) than try to trade into the 20's.

Not bad, although unrealistic (on the Miami side, there are other teams that could straight up absorb Beasley's too). DX's 2nd round mock has me excited. Parakhowski, Garcia, and Lazar Hayward all interest me greatly (Hayward looks like a very safe pick in the round 2 to me, he's a great shooter, strong, long, athletic, and defends).

I am not sure on the salary cap rules, but if Miami wanted to dump Beasley to get under the cap even more before July 1st, I would think that they could only trade with teams under the cap this last year or teams with a large enough TPE. That leaves, Utah, Orlando and Washington.

Even if we did have to include the Memphis pick, I am pretty sure I do this trade. Not sure of a better use of the TPE.

Exactly my thinking.. Heck, i'd throw in another top-20 protected pick as well.

The Celtics are reportedly shopping their #19 pick. That can be a match.

Who will we target though? Alabi? Whiteside? Ebanks? Man the #20 to #40 picks seem to be the same.

I would take either Hinrich or Deng to get their pick. Deng could be our small forward which could lead us to trading AK

The Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder have reached to a deal that will send Daequan Cook and the 18th pick of the next NBA draft in exchange of the Thunder's 32th overall pick. The 23-year-old guard has played for the Heat during his whole three-year professional career, averaging 8.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, but didn't have an important role last season. His departure will allow the Heat to have a major cap space.

Thunder are going to get the likes of Sanders, Pondexter and a point guard like Avery bradley, WATCH. When they get a center they will win the title

"The Boston Celtics have put their first-round pick in Thursday's draft -- No. 19 overall -- on the market, sources told ESPN.com, with an eye toward making one more run at a championship next season."
