Jazz @ Mavericks 6:30, Game thread Our savior cometh?

Anyone have a clip of Kanter's shot? I heard about it on the radio. Was it really as bad as Locke described?
The shot near the end of the third quarter? If so, it was really bad. (How bad was it?) Shane Larkin was flying by so the NEAR SEVEN-FOOTER double clutches a 15 foot jumper while already in the air and it bounces off the top of the backboard. So what's that? Four feet above the rim? It's playing on SportsCenter tonight with a montage of four Jazz airballs.

If Locke was talking about another ugly shot, I don't think I want to know about it.

All I remember was the commentators carrying on and on about it- not one Kanter will want to remember

Wow, this thread has the potential to produce about 10 infractions. Nice going. I'm sure you all felt I haven't been working hard enough lately.

As for the game, if Lucas continues to log any sort of minutes after this game it just confirms that Ty's love affair with vets will never die and he should be replaced ASAP. Garrett is better than him in every way imaginable other than the 1 in 20 games or so where Lucas gets hot.

Observations from the game:

1. The first half was just horrible
2. The refs seemed biased
3. Kanter was bad tonight. Corbin needs to spend some time building the guys confidence. Enough tearing him down. Kanter doesn't even look to shoot from the top of the key anymore when guys are playing off him. He needs the green light to shoot from outside. Kanter clearly lacks some basketball IQ. The question is can he be taught some things so his recognition of situations improve? I think he can. For everyone making fun of the double clutch over the basket throw get over it. Yes it was terrible. Clearly he didn't see who was coming at him. He saw a flash out of his eye and got caught in the air. It looked funny but understandable.
4. Hayward ugh. Everyone keeps saying he's playing great defense and playing really well. Even when he shoots 1-17 everyone says look at his assists and his defense. So I watched carefully tonight because I just don't see what others are seeing. Ellis was going around Hayward like his feet were hammered into the ground. I don't know but I think he had 5 turnovers and numerous bad passes. I like Hayward, I just don't see a guy I would pay more than 10 million for. Personally, I think the strain of being the number one guy and playing for a contract is affecting his game. He's not a number 1 or 2 on a championship playing team. I would let him walk if he receives a contract over 11 million a year.
5. Evans. Holy cow that was the best game of his life. He was doing everything including shooting from long range. Great job.
6. Burks had a good bounce back game. I Like watching him when his game is on
7. Burke needs to start and play a bunch (38-40 mins per game) when medically cleared.
8. Garrett needs to play all the back up minutes and Lucas needs to become a towel waiver from the bench.
9. Is it just me or is Williams playing better than he did all last year. Maybe his injury really affected him last year. I loved his dunk.
10. Jeffersuck is still getting far to many minutes at the expense of Burks. Corbin please pull you head out on this issue.
11. Loved the comeback in the second half.

??
Ellis is a huge mismatch for Hayward, who doesn't he dribble circles around. Ellis has elite speed and handles. You expected Hayward to stay in front of him at all times? Ellis is one of the more explosive players in the entire nba.

As far as #9 is concerned dont forget he is in a contract year. Lots of guys play better in their contract year.

Incredibly lame to get an infraction for quoting something.

£¥£

There are many infractions I felt were weak and didn't vote for. This was not one of them. It didn't help that like 6 of you quoted it right in a row either.
