i don't think bell works though. EDIT: yeah it does because mo's 8.5 for 11.5 (odom + bell) is within the simultaneous trade limit.

could be, but what i mean by "practical application" is that there aren't that many cases where 2M makes the difference between being able to sign a guy or not. and if it is, a lot of teams can acquire a 2M player, you don't HAVE to go looking for a team with a TPE or massive cap space.

under the old CBA, you could use it to do a small side deal to supplement a larger deal where the salary matched but the talent didn't... but with the new CBA, there are also fewer cases where this would be needed, because it's a lot easier to make $ match with the new trade provisions.

it's technically an asset but doesn't have a ton of actual feasible value.
