Jazz need to take on a salary dump player

If LMA plays at all. Guy has had several major injuries in his career. I'd be scared to death about Maxing him out and having him break down.

I have this unshakable feeling that these continuing escalated salary caps are going to eventually cause the LHM group to sell the team. I'm just not sure the family is as committed as they once was.

You understand the cap is going up because more money is coming in? Right?

Spurs, the team that got bounced in the 1st round this past year. Their days are over, I'm confident in that fact.

Every dynasty has their end. Spurs will make the playoffs for a few more years, but it will always be early exits.

You may be right. Though I doubt Danny Green shares your sentiment.

Speaking of salary dump players-- huge huge probability that Patty Mills is about to get dumped in order to snag LMA.

If I'm Dennis, I'm on this.

Anyone think we could snag Mills if the Spurs need to trade him?

99% sure they won't be able to keep him if they sign LMA. Doesn't work. They might need to cut Diaw as well.

I get that, but my concern is that the profit margins (team made $12 million last year) will eventually get dwarfed by some Silicon Valley hipster who wants a NBA team (knowing that expansion is off the table) and deliver a proposal to the Millers that's simply too much $ to turn down and re-locate to somewhere like Seattle, San Diego, etc.

this hinges on if the cap is 67 mil. If it's 69 mil, they can keep him methinks.

Sign Jingles, Trade Booker/OKC 1st to San Antonio for Diaw/Mills and call it an offseason.

Very timid with Diaw. Not sure if our team has a good enough of a culture to utilize him how he wants, and keep him happy.

I mean if the Spurs really need to unload Diaw and Mills, can't we just eat those contracts without even giving up any assets ourselves?

What is people's fascination with Aldrirdge?

Doesn't defend well.

Doesn't really rim protect well despite being a giant.

Doesn't get to the FT line that much despite having a very high usage.

Isn't an above average passer.

Has a career 44% FG shooting in the playoffs.

He is soft.

Tickle me pink if he goes to the Spurs. LMA shot 40% for 3 games against the Jazz. Spurs would be an easy W with LMA wasting possessions with his ball stopping.
