Jazz Official Trade Rumours & Speculation Thread

Dorrell Wright? Bring him on as a stretch 4 +injury insurance at the 3/4?

That's a player who has always perplexed me. I must have randomly seen some of his better games over the years, because I've always been curious why he can't really stick.

Ok Jody Gennesy 2.0

No.

No thanks.

I'll keep Booker.

I don't think he's enough of an upgrade to (potentially) ruin the chemistry of the team the Booker brings to the table, but I've been told I overrate that aspect too much.

I'd rather have Booker than Lee. I can understand moving Booker if the right deal comes along, but it needs to be for a player that gets the team wins. I don't see Lee as being enough of an upgrade to justify the cost of losing Booker and renting Lee for a year. Not the right time for a move like that.

The Deandre Jordan switcheroo is crazy... If he does in fact change his mind, I wonder what other dominoes may fall or reverse direction.

Hmm.. I think Lee is a major upgrade on Booker. Better passer, more reliable passer. A great 3rd big option off the bench. Plus it's only for 1 year and hopefully Lyles develops and is able to take over the duty next year. I think it's a good deal if all we had to do was to take on the contract.

Looks like we'll have to make do with Booker for the coming season but oh well we already have Gobert and Favors so can't really complain.

Matthews might back out? I don't think he has officially signed has he? DAL might go full on tanking which would be good for us since we're trying to make the playoffs this year, 1 less team to worry about.

One of Dallas or the Clippers is going to be in trouble. There aren't many FA bigs left, and neither team has much to trade with.

Matthews did well to get that contract given his injury situation. It seems unlikely he'd change his plans.

It is weird. It seems like there should be a little more demand for him.

DAL's plan if they miss out on Jordan..

Teams likely to be in the lottery if Jordan decides to go back to LA:

T'Wolves
Denver
Sacramento
LA
DAL
Portland

That's already 6 teams.

Jazz and Phoenix would likely fight it out for the final 8th spot.

Foo

Jazz are winning the west. 8th is not our concern.
