Bummer. Cole Aldrich sets a pick, Fes helps on the shot, and Aldrich is left alone underneath for a follow-up dunk on the miss.

Glad to see a center in there, but I still don't understand why he puts two backups at the 4/5. Keep jefferson or Millsap or even aK at the 4. Either Fes or Evans would be fine alongside a more experienced player--and would probably help out the undersized bigs who started.

DW with a heady draw on the foul in the air on Maynor. Refs rule it a two-shot foul, even though he launched it from the 3 (but landed in 2 territory).

Nice play from CJ. Maybe its a good sign. How many times are they going to play that stupid Lebron commercial?

He clearly stepped inside the line to draw contact.

CJ comes in for 10 seconds to get a nice steal and fast-break score with seconds left.

I don't know if it was deliberate, but Sloan kept a lot a defense in there for most of the quarter. Bell played the whole quarter; AK played all but 10 seconds. And Fes and Evans were the first ones off the bench. It was also probably not deliberate to take Millsap out with 6 minutes in the quarter (given that he had logged two fouls), but I like the concept of mixing it up.

Deron starts second quarter; Watson comes in early.. Harden is defending Hayward, which is promosing.

Dang. Eric Maynor hits an open 3. (Sloan puts the undersized starters back in at 4/5, and the rest of the team feels obliged to sag.)

The lack of center still seems to be hurting the Jazz. OKC's center is defending AJ, and it's been tough for Jefferson shoot over him--even Aldrich.

Same concept goes on the wings: it's best to play one defender at all times. Right now CJ and Hayward (who might be a defender someday) are winging it together.

Smart lineups, please?

The most shocking thing about Jefferson's game is he seems not to be a great rebounder. I mean go up and grab the damn ball. He seems to tip the ball a lot. Hayward makes a nice play. I like the kid. Millsap has been playing well. Keep it up Jazz.
