But but but...
I thought it was all Sloan's fault when we gave up a lot of 3s?
But but but.... I thought it was all Sloan's fault for the other team going on big runs?
I thought everything was going to be sooooooooooooooo much better without Sloan!
At least, that's what I read here on this board.
Deron is looking well... Medicore. Sorry folks, but Westbrook, Rondo, and Rose have passed the prima donna himself. While old dudes like Hill and Nash can hold him.
Deron couldn't make a shot and couldn't take care of the ball.
Been the story all year with the exception of those few road games we won at the beginning of the year. Especially the part with turnovers. The dude protects the ball about as well as Jay Cutler and Farve.
A better question is, when was the last time Duron shot well, took care of the ball, and led our team to victory against a playoff team?
And I used to be a Deron homer. But the man's ego is the #1 problem with this team. He's alienated teammates, destroyed chemistry, helped run off the franchise's most loyal/best employee, and has proven to be a horrible leader. Most of the time our offense looks like one jumbled mess. When Deron isn't whining at the refs (while his man is on the other side of the court and scoring) he's on the ground pouting.
Players don't want to get yelled at by the drama queen. They all remember what he did to Hayward. Deron walks the ball up the court and we have less than 10 seconds to actually run our offense. When he isn't running the shotclock out, he's either palming the ball or dribbling it out of bounds (where the hell was he going against Mount Gortat?). And then yelling at the refs (again).
Now, having said that, this team needs the lottery... Bad. This team cannot rebound, shoot, or create offense. We're basically a jumpshooting team. If somebody like Al, MIllsap, or CJ get hot, we win. If not, we lose (which is most of the time. Since no pure jumpshooting team can win on a regular basis without having a post presence, big rebounder, or a player that can create)
To me, I've had enough of this. I'd much rather watch entertaining basketball (and see them lose) with Hayward and Evans than try and watch this junk slug its way into the playoffs for a sweep against the Spurs.
Play the young kids. Run a more wide open offense. Experiment with the lineups and strategies. Make trades to stock up on some picks. And hope for the best because this team isn't getting better, it's getting worse and worse.
