Jazz Play The Clippers in about 2 Hours: A Gamethread

I guess I'm too upset about this loss, but for the love of all that is holy this team sucks hard when it comes to free throws. It's super irritating.

And on another note I detest the Clippers. I hate them more than any team in the league now. They are a bunch of crying floppers. The calls they get are absolutely disgusting, and I hate NBA refs for giving them all their bogus calls. And they cry about all the calls that are obviously against them, like when Griffin grabbed the f'ing net.

expected a #5 draft pick rather than a d-league looking talent. Sorry.

If I had never heard of exum and knew nothing about him I would think he was a very late first round pick or second rounder.

But that was not my point. I remember alot of people giving Seattle jazz fan crap for saying exum would struggle. Looks like he was right

looks like you just lose all your chips ....because you think he's a 2nd round talent theirs nobody else that does I think all the GM's would jump on it at the #5 pick or higher ....he probably is the best defensive rookie this year and the offense will come if he is hovering around 40% from the 3 pt line ,with that speed and is a legit threat from the 3....

Wow we are looking better. Love our offense. The ball movement is so much better than it ever was under Corbin. Wish gordon had driven more. Wish someone could Have boxed out jordan. Our team needs to practice free throws.

And it's just one game
That was ultimately the difference.

Trey was so... unnoticeable tonight. The scary thing is - I think it's the best way he can be - when he limits the opportunities for screw ups to a minimum. He shot just 10 FG for the night and hit 2 of 3 3-pointers. Also made 6 assists and only 1 turnover. I think if he can keep that level, he can be a serviceable backup for us.

Rodney Hood has so much potential, it's crazy. Too bad he has not been healthy so far.
I watched Gobert first time early last season then thought he was DL material but now, wow, holy cow, he's improved vastly. Dude is so close to the starting NBA center level now.
Exum played much better than Trey. I can't believe Trey. Massively disappointing he is, I thought he could be real good this year. What the hell.

Griffin is such a whinny puss. If I was shuts...a ref if never give the guy the benefit of the doubt... The Hood tie up was no where near a foul and they guy acts like he was murdered. I just hate the clippers so much.

Good game by most the guys... Trey wasn't awful but he just takes some shots that leave you puzzled. Some self awareness would be good for him.

I don't think the Clippers are really contenders. They're a good team, but I don't think they're top tier in the west.

They need to add Ray Allen and upgrade over Glen Davis at big off the bench.

Edit: I'm looking at bad teams who may be willing to trade a big for pick(s)--Faried and Bargnani come to mind. The latter pretty much stinks but might be an upgrade over Big Baby and adds more versatility and shooting.

I was thinking the same thing

clippers won't win it all. They will continue to do this for another 3~4 years and fall apart. Eventually end up being vintage clippers.

I think they're contenders. We beat the Spurs, Grizz and Thunder, so are they pretenders too?

They looked pretty darn good. Solid shooting, good post play, Jordan is a beast, etc.

Maybe we just played a hell of a game? Our front line is one of the best in the NBA. We need to shore up our back court.

Are the clippers the best of the contending teams? Maybe not. But how can you put someone unproven like Houston or Portland ahead of them?

Heck let's look at the "contending teams" right now:

OKC has 2 superstars and meh surrounding. Plus, their coach sucks. All they do is take turns going 1 on 1. Westbrook is a head case. And is KD ever going to be 100 percent this year?
Houston has Harden, who doesn't play defense. Jsmooth sucks.
Dallas could be good. Let's see how this Rondo experiment works out.
Porty is ok. Just ok though.
Golden state will flame out, as usual. Bogut and Lee are made of glass. Not to mention curry's ankles.
The spurs, if they could ever get healthy... Are definitely the elite of the elite.
Memphis doesn't have enough Fire power.

So even the "contending" teams have weaknesses. Are the clippers perfect? No. But they're contenders. Cmon.

Just give our guys credit, especially our bigs, for fighting hard inside. We really missed Burks tonight.
