I think Jordan got into Favors' head a little bit last night. Jordan and Griffin either push off or grab on almost every single rebound or loose ball. You can see Derrick's mind was racing at the free throw line. He'll learn to overcome stuff like that.
 
Yeah, it seemed like Jordan and Griffin were fouling down low on rebounds, but Favors has to box-out Jordan more aggressively. I would probably give Jordan player of the game for the Clips. Played great defense the whole game and gave them a lot of extra possessions.

You can't do that in the final 2 minutes of game, I believe. All intentional fouls have to be on-ball or the other team gets 2 shots and the ball back.

Can you foul deandre away from the ball when there is more than two minutes left, or does he have to possess the ball?

Got to love GOBERT. The passing, the defense, the one handed put back finishes. Delicious.
 
I got caught up in checking some stats and as usual want to share with you guys. So here it goes:

  • We are still 27th in DefRtg and 108.2 points allowed per/100 is pretty bad but the last 10 games we're @104 even!

  • Our starting 5 has a NetRtg of -0.4[OffRtg:114.4, DefRtg:114.8] in 328 minutes of action. Some might say:'Well, that's a loosing team' but considering our age and that this is a veterans league and experience is important and the fact that those five are playing against opponents starting fives makes me think that this is more positive than negative.

  • Our S5 w/o Alec and w/Rodney has a NetRtg of 2.2 in 73 minutes. While our offense struggles @99.6 our defense is much improved @97.4! Might Alec be a problem when it comes to defense? Or is it just a coincidence?

  • Opponents shoot just 40% on 6.3 attempts @the rim when Rudy is defending. That is the 3rd best # in the NBA[Opp FGA at Rim per game >=4] just behind the likes of Bogut(39.2%) and Hibbert(39.4%). Our D just allows 101.6 per/100 when Rudy is on the floor this # is @112.3 when he is off the floor!

    The first lineup gets me really excietd in regards of our future. Dante @PG, Gordon @the wing with either a sharp shooter or perimeter defender next to him and Rudy @C with either Derrick, Enes or a stretch 4 we get via Draft or FA. If this trio is looking this good this early? Oh me oh my!
