Jazz players at the World Cup

Every link I've found is the rugby. Bummer. Looks like Exum started off pretty active, 2 pts and 3 boards in first couple minutes.

the game is on, with some delay!

First Quarter:
Offensive rebound and layup for Exum.
Nice drive and kick, Ingles drives for the layup.
Misses a 3pt shot. Good pass inside for a layup.
Made the signature right hand to the left crossover. Fouled on the drive. Misses both FTs :s
Sweet drive in traffic to the basket, lays it in. Great move!
Another great crossover and drive to the basket. Misses the lay up, but I am happy that he's being aggressive and driving to the basket.

Second Quarter:
Baseline pass to the open man at the corner 3 who scores.
Another good drive in the paint, tries a floater which completely misses, I think he was fouled but no foul coming from the refs.
Exum out.
BTW Brock Motum is crushing the boards(12 boards in 16 minutes of play). Gotta love his hustle .
Exum back in with 2 mins to go.
Uses the pick by Jawai, drives and throws the alleyoop pass on the roll to Jawai! Nice!
Great D! Followed by great pass to Motum inside, but he can't control the basket and it goes out of bounds.
End of second quarter, Exum finishes with 4pts(2/5FG, 0/1 3pt, 0/2FT), 3 ast, 3rb, 1to)
I am loving what I am seeing from him today! All his minutes are at PG and it is clear as day he feels much more comfortable at the PG than at SG. He's being active, he's driving, he's making good decisions. Love it.

Third Quarter:
Exum starts off the bench.
Exum in with 3 mins to go in the third. They ruled a totally weird Offensive foul on him I don't know what that was about.
Another good pick and roll play for Exum, dishes to Jawai on the roll for a slam.
Drive in, patiently waits for opening and sinks in the floater! Nice.
Drive and kick to an open corner 3, which is missed, makes the offensive rebound and pass to Jawai for buzzer basket. Nice.
End of third quarter


Fourth Quarter:
Exum starts.
Drives in transition. Misses the left handed layup/ That was weird. Should have made that.
Gets a nice pass from Jawai inside, Makes the reverse layup!
Defensive rebound. Fouled in transition...
Exum out.
Exum in with 4mins to go.
Over-committed for a steal and got punished by his man driving for a layup.
Bad pass is picked. Philippines score in transition.
Great pass to an open man inside, but he misses.
Game ends, Australia wins by 97:75

Final statline for Exum: 8pts(4/8FG, 0/1 3pt, 0/2 FT), 6assists, 5 rebounds, 2 turnovers in 21 minutes of play.

Played about 18-19 of those minutes as PG! Great showing! Loved it. He was aggressive, he drove consistently in the paint, maybe should have finished a bit better at the rim, but still a great game for him. Great passing, good defense for most part, some nice rebounding and a few hustle plays.

France vs Ukraine is about to start.

1st Q:
Rudy starts and wins the jump ball.
I love the picks Gobert sets.
Nice defense by Gobert! Blocks a shot by Ukraine's center.
Rudy gets a nice pass by Diaw inside. Makes the 2 handed dunk.
Gobert puts back in a missed shot by Batum!
Nice defense against Ukraine's center, contests a hook shot.
Defensive rebound.
Rudy out.

2nd Q: Rudy doesn't start.
Rudy in with 2:39 left in the second.
Defensive rebound for Rudy.
Rudy fouled, will shoot 2... Airballs the first... misses the second too..
Defensive rebound.
End of 2nd quarter.

3d Q:
Gobert on the bench, France can't get a rebound - 3 or 4 consecutive O rebounds for Ukraine.
No minutes for Gobert in the 3d.

4th Q:
Gobert starts the 4th.
Hustle on the offensive end. Misses the first tip in, the second one is in.
Tried to trap, but let his man go to the rim and fouled him for and-1.
Pick and roll -> Alley-oop! Sweet!

Looked like the whole 2nd unit played better with him as PG as well.....the guys that got the most miinutes with Exum finished 18 / 31 in FG's

The kid has me optimistic but every game he continues to not only look shaky from the field but even worse from the line has me genuinely concerned. A 0-2 or 2-4 from the line every once in a while wouldn't have me worried. Exum seems to have them literally every game.

He's 1/5 from the line in 6 games with Australia. I think he doesn't look confident with his shot in general. Hopefully he'll put in the work and shoot at least 70% from the line in the NBA.
 
USA vs Brazil is later today. Good opportunity to see Gordon and Raul Neto.
 
Jazz fanz wanted Exum to display better conditioning...He's playing really good defense ,you can't do that if you're not in good condition.
Jazz fanz wanted Exum to have a better handle...... In 5games at SL 14 assists / 15 turnovers........in 6 games in leadup to Fiba 24 assists / 7 turnovers

A lot of criticism when Exum plays SG ,criticism turns to raves when he plays PG
