Jazz Playoff Watch

Agreed with Gameface.
I don't believe they should tank for a pick.
KOC has some great draft picks, and next year Hayward is going to be even more of a beast.
Kanter is finally starting to play well, and what a find in Demarre Carol.
I also can't say enough about Harris, Jefferson, and Millsap either.

I suppose I could be in the minority but if there was a league wide draft I would take Sap over Griffin. That guy will not get better. He believes his flops and hops make him as good as he will get.
Gee, you suppose? Wow. However, I do wear homer glasses sometimes also..

i think denver's pretty much in. they have the TB with phoenix, so they'd have to fall apart pretty convincingly down the stretch.

the three most likely finishes are:

7. denver 8. utah
7. utah 8. denver
7. denver 8. phoenix

the only way phoenix gets in, realistically, is by stealing OUR spot.

Stealing our spot? They will definitely have to earn it by beating us and will definitely deserve it if they do so.

Mavericks could lose 3 in a row also. (Fingers tied, especially for tonight).

they could, but i doubt they do. and since they own TBs against all four of the teams behind them, they're still a virtual lock for #6.

although one thing i wonder, with all the minutes kidd & dirk have been playing lately, is if the mavs will feel inclined to start giving some guys lighter duty (or no duty at all). dirk is averaging 39 minutes in april (42 in the last 5). kidd is averaging 35 in april and 40 since the game where they rested him against portland.

the jazz is lucky on the schedule. after the magic game, it won't be a back to back but a 3 day break to get prepared both physically and mentally. the starters have suffered some long ot'd games lately this season and this is a positive thing to consider for the team and the coach.

A loss by Phoenix tonight would leave open the possibility for the Jazz to lose to Phoenix on Tuesday and make the playoffs provided Phoenix loses to San Antonio on the last game of the season.

I'm wondering if I don't want the Suns to win this Suns/Nuggs game. I want the Jazz to get the 7 seed, or maybe just hope for the Thunder to move to the 1. The Jazz have a history of not being able to beat the Spurs

Why don't the Suns play like this against us? Denver is beating them to sleep.

I know. Every time they play us, I find myself asking myself how do these guys ever lose: they hit everything from the three point line and Nash just picks apart the D. I have no idea how the Spurs destroyed them a few weeks ago or how they're getting slaughtered right now at home. Good for our playoff hopes, either way.

Whoa; Phoenix loses to Denver 118-107. Big win on the road for the Nuggets, who are all but in the playoffs. Gonna be a wild one when the Suns come to town; two desperate teams!

With the Suns losing tonight, I'd take an epic meltdown for the Jazz to miss the playoffs. I guess it's Jazz v Spurs then.
