Jazz Pre-Draft Workouts 2015

Trade out for assets. Take on a couple cap clearing contracts for next year so we can really take advantage of the new cap the year after. I would prefer to see something along these lines than just drafting another rookie that probably won't crack the rotation, if he does, for a couple years.

Kristaps Porzingis' Only Pre-Draft Workout Will Be In Vegas On Friday:

David J. Smith‏@davidjsmith123
Wonder if the Jazz will be able to attend this, or if only top seven pick teams will be allowed.

Andy Larsen ‏@andyblarsen
@davidjsmith1232 Yep, Jazz going. Myles Turner and other ASM* client prospects will be there too.

* ASM represents Alec Burks and Trevor Booker from the Jazz. And at least 3 guys who were just in for the FA mini Camp.

other draftees include Jareel Martin

Kansas small forward Kelly Oubre is headed to Utah for a pre-draft workout this weekend. He's in Charlotte today.

I hope we get some video of some of his workouts like we have with portis, kaminski, winlsow etc

Myles Turner and Rakeem Christmas also coming on Sunday

Good. I hope they take a good look at both. Turner needs to be looked at closely due to his talent/vs. concerns. Christmas is a guy who impressed at the combine and has that 2nd round success profile. He'd be worth taking at 42 (or higher.)

Here's some of his own workout. It looks like he's lowered and focused his release point on his jumper. Looks pretty easy from range.

I'm still on the Oubre wagon. I don't think he busts. His length on defense is really attractive. His shooting touch is above average. He's not TMac, but he's athletic. There's some real upside here.

Love his jumpshot..... Especially how much arch there is.
Looks long too..... Skinny though and not really explosive.

Looks quick though

I still like him, too. Would you pick him above Johnson?

I'm a fan of oubre too.
If johnson is there I would take him... And I would take Frank before him too. Then oubre

I would. I think he fits the wing position better, and I don't think Johnson can really play the 4 consistently.

His length on D between Exum and Hayward would make our perimeter D as good as the Bucks, and he wouldn't hold back our offense. There's also a chance he becomes a good scorer.

I'd have a hard time passing on Turner though if he can play both frontcourt positions.

A lot of upside with Oubre, still think he moves a little slow playing the game (motor?).
Anxious to see what Perrin has to say about him, as cryptic as it might be.

With Gobert on the team and Snyder the coach, I'm really not worried about anyone's motor. No one will be allowed to coast.
