Jazz Pre-Draft Workouts 2015

Ehhh Oubre kind of scares me, he needs to be a little more humble to know that he isn't good enough to just come in and help win a championship.

We like the fire and confidence of Hezonja but not Oubre? I guarantee that Super Mario would say the same level stuff in his interviews if he were able to.

I'm a little weary about Hezonja too, seems like he could be a little cancerous to a team.

Fair enough. I'd be happy with either guy, but I'll happily admit that high character guys like Turner, Johnson and Kaminsky have all really impressed me with their maturity and professionalism. Draft can't get here soon enough.

Sounds like Oubre really killed it in the work out and is a very interesting player.

I've always liked Oubre. Lots of potential there; the physical gifts and confidence are very apparent. Plus, he's got nice shooting form and has proven he can commit to defense.

BTW even with the language barrier De Paula came across as a very likable kid:

Huge fan of de Paula. The raw ability is there, but it's going to need years of development. He reminds me a lot of Bruno Caboclo in that sense. Maybe not as much potential as Caboclo, but I'd love to see the Jazz take a flier on him in the 2nd round. Jazz have now worked out my two favorite 2nd round prospects in Jaiteh and De Paula and I hope they like them as much as I do.

I listened to the interview and I don't think he sounds arrogant or cocky. He believes in himself and thinks he can become as good as the players he cited. That's a good goal to have. What should he say; he wants to become the next Derrick Williams? And he hopes to go to a team and help them to avoid the lottery?

I liked him talking about his defense. That would fit well with Rudy and the rest.

So the Pacers workout between Turner and Kaminsky, did Turner outplay Kaminsky?

According to reports Kaminsky had a lot of problems with Turner's length and even with some of the guards in the paint.

Kaminsky didn't finish inside when around a defender (once blocked by Turner, twice bothered by smaller guards). Looked better on perimeter

Quick take from #Pacers workout: Myles Turner went out of his way to appear vocal, teachable both during the workout and after.

When Kaminsky did finish inside for a layup, he was set up nicely by guard T.J. McConnell's drive that drew Turner temporarily away from rim
