It would be different if Jimmer was actually on the Jazz and not on the Kings I think.

He's also a top if not the top high school player of the year. When he chose his college it was live on ESPN. If you follow college basketball you should know who he is.

"Step back" might mean starting the young 4 and if that's the case, then we're not a worse team as long as our bench is decent.

Wiggins is consensus #1.. not even close at this point.

Jabari is not consensus #2 .. as a matter of fact, if anything, Randle is easily #2, atm.

If the jazz get Jabari Parker and don't have to give up any of the core four they would probably be the best team I. The league. And that is if they have a crappy pg like mo.
 
We need to seriously dump both our picks this year to Charlotte for their unprotected 1st rounder next year. They always blow and that would pretty much be a guaranteed top five pick.

Plus, if we didn't re-sign Al or Paul, we could struggle and have another lotto pick to get a 2nd guy from the '14 draft to add to the core or use to move up, if necessary.
 
I wouldn't be certain that Jabari Parker is the target. The article in question is on RealGM (link below). It might mean, however, that we're not in a hurry to pay a FA a lot of money. As fans, we may not like what the FO is doing, but at least they seem to know what they're doing. They turned down the Bledsoe deal. I just don't see the Jazz finishing worse next year than we will this year, especially if we get any semblance of a PG.

If you are going to "tank", it's probably better to do so without a specific target in mind anyways. Parker is in no way a surefire good NBA player at this point. He's a skilled guy, but I'm telling you, that Polynesian side of him is going to kick in even more than it already has soon. He's got that body type. I'm predicting he is going to have to play as an undersized 4 or he'll be one of those awkward Ryan Gomes types that never really fits in.
 
Parker won't be a great NBA player. He's skilled, crafty, good scorer, but lacks that elite athleticism that would allow him to become a superstar in the mold of LeBron.
