What's new

Jazz Press Conference

Oh, come on.

"Hi Deron, just wanted to tell you someone is being traded."
"Oh okay. Who is it?"
"Sorry, I'm not allowed to tell you."

Then next morning, Deron gets another call.

"Okay, so that trade we discussed last night is happening. Just so you'd know."
"Okay, thanks. I'm going to watch sportscenter with my teammates."

'Rumors has it Deron Williams is going to the Nets.'

"WHAT??? There is no way I'm getting on that plane."

I don't have any more rep to give, but that made me laugh for two minutes. I hope it went down that way.

To be honest I think all indications are that Greg has no real talent for business, cutthroat or otherwise.

What does he have that wasn't inherited or otherwise made for him? What significant growth has he presided over?

And those that are trying to act the part sometimes make wholly rash decisions. I've seen it happen many a times.

You're absolutely right. He does and says the wrong thing so often it's mystifying that he's thought of as the best among his brothers to run the family business. One example from the press conference today was when he said that the Utah Jazz will always put the coach first and the player second. Aw, God that's idiotic, from just about any perspective, but doubly so from a business management / leadership one. Folks, if corporate policy is to never fairly consider right and wrong in any conflict between worker and management, that's a company you don't want to work for.

Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor. Greg apparently was taking notes on how to dismantle the team his dad built to get back at him or something.

Is this true about the GS pick? It might not even be one?

So the Utah Jazz have officially become the training ground for young players until they want to go to a big market? Greg just outed himself. If I recall when Sloan was fired he said the decision for Sloan to leave had nothing to do with DW and Jerry fighting. Now he is saying the Jazz will always support the coach over the player. Is that correct? Does that mean Sloan is coming back or does it mean that Greg lied about the Sloan situation.

Anyways the Jazz are a mess and I am not that excited about the Jazz ever being able to grow a championship team if their best players want to leave and go somewhere else.

There is so much ******** its hard to gauge what is true and what is false...

The Utah Jazz just turned into the NBA's NBDL team.
