Jazz - Sacramento Trad

Jimmer for Hayward straight up. This kid is already ROY. We need to steal him before he really breaks out. He can handle the ball, create his own shot, split the screen trap, and even sneak inside behind the timber. Like a lot of analysts, I really think there is going to be 7 teams who are ticked they missed out on him (Jazz excluded cause Kanter will be better, and Cavs only included once).

Basically, Jimmer has already filled all the holes that make Hayward's game questionable. I think Sacramento goes for it because Hayward is a lot bigger, but Jazz might have to throw in a second round or CJ or something extra.

They should just give him the ROY already.
Forget all these other schmucks.... ok, well he can share it with Kanter I guess.

Sacramento's ticket sales increased this year because of Jimmer. They're not trading him. He's too marketable and they need the money.

Jazz would sell more of everything with Jimmer but I say no. I am a big Hayward fan. Guy will be great.

So Hayward has 2 bad preseason games and we're trading him for Jimmer?? worst trade thread ever..

I'm not jumping the gun over Hayward's last two games. I'm really big on Hayward, but trust me Jimmer is going to have a much better career. This is like the Greg Oden vs. Durant debate only on a slightly smaller scale.

Jimmer is answering every critic of him pre-draft, which were all questioning whether or not he can translate his game to the NBA. Clearly he can.

I'm done. I'm bumping it at the All-Star break though.

Just remember CJ has a history of making a splash in preseason then falling on his arse when the games really count. With only a couple games to go on, there is no reason to think Jimmer will be any different.

How could you be sure about that? Hayward is bigger, more athletic, and a better defender. His ceiling is Ginobili. Jimmer will be a solid shooter/scorer, and I think his ceiling is Jason Terry. No way you make this trade.

Jimmer does look real good. I'd just rather trade CJ than Gordon. Still, I think it's good that Jimmer has his own team. Sacramento deserves to have something to cheer for. They've been through some rough times.

The Jazz could have had Jimmer Fredette if they really wanted him with the 3rd overall pick. They obviously weren't interested enough to either draft him or they would have. Everyone thought the Jazz drafted Hayward too high with the 9th overall pick in 2010. I don't know how the Jazz could have explained to their fan base that they chose to use another top 10 lottery pick on Fredette (a clear reach at 3) when Enes Kanter was sitting on the board for them to have. We also knew that he was not likely to slip to the 12th spot, so the Jazz simply passed on him.
