Jazz season tickets

6-7 years? So now we’re already saying he’s played 9 years in a Jazz uniform.
We can make the timeline within 6 years, when he asks is at least a few years down the road but I think he will. I think he would ask for a trade, I actually don't think he would just leave. I just don't like you can already see it coming. It's like stop with your goo goo gah gah Utah crap Donovan, you wish you were in NY in the back of your mind.

Can it be both? I mean, he still likes Louisville. I still like the places I’ve been.

I had an interview in Columbus once. I really played up my connection to the area (lived there 2 years). Everything I said was true. I could envision myself being there again. Ultimately, it got ranked farther down my list for a number of reasons. It wasn’t the right time. But nothing I said was false, nor deceptive.

If I could tell you today the guy your wife will leave you for in the next 6 years I don’t think you’d like your wife’s commitment to you too much lol. It is deceptive. I can see he’s going to the Knicks, you still want to place that bet while Donovan flirts with the Knicks assistant GM on Instagram?

That’s the problem, though — this isn’t a marriage. Why are you treating it as such?

It is right now lol, and he certainly tries to make it seem that way between him and the fanbase. Obviously it’s not a direct comparison or perfect analogy, but most aren’t. It’s like someone you know that your wife always liked and talked to, then she leaves you and never actually wanted to be with you in the first place even though she sure acted like she did. Saying I don’t need a big market to be happy,I love you, etc. etc. Aside from a championship I think one of the biggest things Donovan can do for the franchise is make a statement and stay when he has the choice to leave. I guess I do have faith in Rudy sticking around, but Rudy staying isn’t going to be seen as the same affect. It would help the franchise to see a star like him not just want out the second he has the choice. Again, what’s the bet?

The Jazz can trade Donovan tomorrow. It's not a marriage.

Your wife could divorce you tomorrow. Like I said it’s not a perfect analogy. Don’t sit here and pretend you enjoy the fact you can see he’s gone already when he gets the chance, especially the way he panders to the fanbase.

I don't know anything about what's going to happen 5-6 years from now. I don't really care. I'm enjoying the team we have right now and look forward to the upcoming season. Why would I spend time worried that Donovan will leave us at some point? NBA contracts aren't lifetime commitments, loyalty has nothing to do with any of it, and any number of things can happen between now and then that would completely change how I'd feel about Donovan staying or leaving.

So Allen Houston, someone he probably remembers growing up watching, is hanging around team USA basketball and they chatted. Should he have dodged him to out of loyalty to the Jazz? I guess it’s a good thing Pops doesn’t coach the Knicks because that would really bolster the insecurity.

It's not one solitary thing. I'm just saying that relationship is there, along with several other things. Philly sure didn't like the thought of Ben Simmons working out with Magic Johnson when he was Lakers GM did they? Nor would they have loved Simmons leaving emojis on Magic's IG or twitter posts while he was GM of the Lakers. Not like Simmons was anywhere near FA but Philly wasn't going for that.

I can both enjoy what's at hand and read tea leaves to the future. Jazz should have spent a little more time worrying about Hayward leaving and maybe they would have traded him a year or two earlier. You don't just ignore stuff. 5-6 years is not like a lifetime away or something.

It’s a lifetime in the NBA. Your team will turnover twice in that time frame. I’m content building for the next 5 years and then crossing those bridges when we get there. This is the closest we’ve been in... forever.

I think the difference here is that you’re wondering what will happen to everyone if or when they become disillusioned. Well, I was never illusioned in the first place, so I’m not in a huge panic about the business of the NBA. I could imagine if someone fell head-over-feet for Donovan that they’d have a hard landing.

@Ron Mexico said it best a number of months ago that these players will come and go, and we’ve been fans of the team long before they were here, and we will be fans of the team long after they’re gone. While you may view Donovan as playing us for his own benefits, I’d also like us to be a bit upfront, as well — we love him for what he can do for us, how he can help our team grow and expand, and how his perceived dedication to the state and franchise helps us further our goals of a title. Let’s not act like we care about him for pure altruism. True, there are endearing things and we like him not just because he plays for us, but we wouldn’t have any discussion about him if he were not serving a specific purpose of our goals for the franchise we are fans of. There are a lot of really, really good people out there, and we’re not talking about any of them because none of them are budding superstars on our team.

Not interested in Jazz season tickets....but am interested in Jazz viewing TV games for a reasonable price! Who can help me with that idea?

Yeah it’s pretty ridiculous ATT SportsNet won’t get it on a streaming service. It’s also so stupid that NBA LP blacks out local games. It’s 2019.
