Jazz sending a message

IDK, could it possibly be that Favors and Hayward play defense as opposed to being complete liabilities?

Lately alec has been more consistent than hayward imo

I never once said Hayward has been consistent. Not one single time. Favors has been and he was said to be inconsistent by Trolling Accomplished.

Also last night Hayward played 27 minutes and Burks 34. Just sayin.

I'm not saying you are wrong. But, I have yet to hear Favors has to earn his place. Or see Hayward not average tons of minutes since he came into the league. If you wanna crown them go ahead and crown their @^%%^&.

It sounds like you want to see more minutes for Kanter and Burks. I would agree, but why tear down Hayward and Favors? You are barking up the wrong tree.

Favors has clearly been the most consistent of the 4. The difference between AB and GH is overall game. While I think Gordie is not a max player he contributes in multiple facets of the game, even when his shot is off. And teams still feel a need to guard him which is good for everyone else. Alex has been inconsistent and when he is not scoring, his decision making and other parts of the game are a problem. And there are games when teams simply don't worry about guarding him. Not a huge GH fan but IMO he clearly contributes more and more consistently than Alex.

Favors is the ONLY consistent young Jazz right now. Hayward is really struggling. DL looks like a genius not resigning him. He is not worth $8m+/year.
Burks.. He certainly is the most exciting Jazz these days.. Brilliant slasher. BUT sometimes his moves are wild and raw. Shot selection is suspect.
Overall I am very unhappy with young players development. This is the coaching staff's fault, mainly of Corbin who specializes on ruining kids' confidence with bizarre rotations.

DL should have signed a head coach with proven ability to develop young players loooong ago

This is true.

Down with marvin and jeffy imo

This thread is at 4 pages. Seems like he hit the exact tree he was aiming for.

@ stoked... can I get an amen?!
Go tank!

Hallelujah! Amen brother Fish!!!

God be with you till we tank again
By his tank; guide, uphold you
With his tank securely fold you
God be with you till we tank again.

Hayward has been given more rope than any NBA player I have seen. He has taken this rope, put it around his neck, and hung himself. He has proven he can't be a consistent scorer. He has proven that he can't be a consistent ball handler with his high turn overs. He also has proven he shouldn't be given more than 10 million a year.

Then I guess you never watched CJ Miles.

Still too early to tell imo.
Just like its too early to write off kanter.
And just like its too early to write off burks.

The core 5 should all be starting and playing 30 minutes MINIMUM regardless of wins and losses or how they play game by game so that at the end of the year (or trade deadline) the jazz front office knows what to do with each of them

I think he means hypocrisy as in the jazz and corbin like to say that you have to earn your minutes, but that is not the case for some players

That is exactly what I meant. We have dubbed our "stars" before they actually earn anything. Yet, right now we have half the core youth having to earn their ways on the court.

There's plenty of playing time to be had in the D-League. Gobert's already up to 32 minutes, 16 points, 14 boards and 6 blocks. If players think they need minutes that badly then they should ask for a trip to Bakersfield.

I'm not trying to tear down Favors or Hayward. Just point out that they are equally young and inconsistent as Kanter and Burks. Yet, the two that are younger are having to earn their starting positions from a bench role while it seems like Favors and Hayward have been dubbed as the next two Jazz greats. The tree that some feel I'm barking up is just one where over sensitive posters can't have an argument without going to cry land.

False! Hayward maybe but not Favors. Would you like me to repeat that?

I just wish we'd get rid of Corbin and get a coach who would just give the young guys specified roles and equal chances to fail or succeed so that this dumb bickering would stop. Is it so hard to understand what we are SUPPOSED to be doing: to prepare for the future and find out who is going to be a part of it. Put the vets on the bench and let them play minutes when the occasion calls for it.

Is this rocket science or what?

Have you watched this team play without Favors? You can remove any of the other 3 and this team can still go about its business but without Favors its a major difference.
