Jazz should try and trade for Stanley Johnson

Its stupid how the Pistons use Johnson. The guy can score the ball. But Gundy has made it clear to him he isn't out there to score. He better pass the ball and just play defense. Its retarded.

Okay, okay, okay. You win troll of the year... in January! That's unprecedented. Congratulations!

On 2nd thought, it would be dumb to pick him up. The Jazz would just use him the same way. I maintain he is a good player. He just needs off the Pistons. Their offense is awful.

Stanley Johnson’s formula for success is simple: play defense, rebound and take good shots.

But getting him to follow that formula at all times can be difficult, according to Detroit Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy

Your name should really be Lazythinker. Its so much easier to just call someone a troll rather than actually know what's going on.

He could really help by shooting or making a play.

Thanks for pasting your main point. I didn't wanna read that whole article.

You can't even argue semantics properly. Nowhere in that quote does it say he should shoot or score less. It says to take good shots.

Bye Felicia

The most perplexing thing to me about Stanley is his low free throw attempts. Figured at 240 lbs with good handles would just be bulling himself to the rim against smaller defenders.

Agree. So over this Exum bashing. How about... Oh I don't know, letting Exum fully recover first before writing him off. Anyone giving up on him obviously has no idea about ACL injuries. The dude is literally breaking out in acne he's still that young.

Agreed. Some fans are so impatient and looking to make a push ASAP. The Jazz have the benefit of having a young core of players. Many of you were writing off Hayward for the first few years, now he's gained some muscle and the game has obviously slowed down for him..

I think Exum can follow the same path and in a year or two could be a vital asset behind George *crosses fingers*. On a side note, I think Gobert is also a couple years from realizing his true potential in this league.. Imagine Rudy putting on some mass, he could emerge to be one of the top centers in the league in almost every regard.

I am also optimistic Snyder and his staff are capable of being a long term management to accelerate their development.

It is pointless to trade any player on the roster at this point.

Stanley Johnson's career has gone downhill since talking trash to Lebron James in the playoffs.

That would be a solid argument if we talking about someone who is good. Exum is not good.

Too early to tell but giving up on him in just flat out retarded. Did you watch Jabari Parker play last year coming off his ACL?? and no dont go look at box scores. JP was slow as **** but a year on he is back to his normal self and beasting out!

Exum grew up in our AIS programs, he's more than capable.

Or... we could just extend Mack. F*** that!!!

Stanley will still be good... I still see him as more successful as a small ball 4 can't play there in Detroit because they have a bunch of combo forwards already. I don't think the asking price is anywhere near what has been indicated. That team is a dumpster fire. We probably aren't the best case scenario for him... I wouldn't trade favs for him and he'd need some time at 4. Prefer Lyles to Johnson.

I think Stanley is worst case a better PJ Tucker... best case is like a worse Ron artest type.

Still think this is a good idea. He is just wasting away on the bench.

The Spurs were inquiring about him not that long ago too. That's a good sign.

LOL. Give up on Exum but lets trade for a far worse player with less upside. Brilliant.
