Ross Siler(TribJazz): Talked with Larry Fox, agent for Anthony Tolliver, who said Jazz have been in regular contact throughout free agency about Tolliver.

He counted Jazz as one of five or six teams to have shown most interest in Tolliver so far.

I know it moved my interest meter. Just the wrong way.

Don't know this fool. Wasn't he like the 11th guy on Golden State's overachieving team this year? Can someone please describe his game to me in 20 words or less?

Someone wants an opinion on a Golden State player? Did I just get summoned to the thread?

Soft

In love with the three

Undersized as a center, which is where he played a lot in Golden State

His rebounding numbers with Golden State are somewhat deceptive. He was hardly a force on the glass, largely because he floats on the perimeter hoping for threes.

I suspect the Jazz see him as a poor-man's Okur.

He's a potential good value pick-up.

That's more than 20 words.

If we can get Tolliver at a quarter of the price as Okur, and trade Okur this season, holy ****. To rid ourselves of AK and Okur in one off-season would be ****ing amazing!

Just did a quick youtube search for Anthony Tolliver, and these are the top 5 results. Less than inspiring though a little way down there is a dunk of the night.

He was a teammate of Gaines on the Stampede on the DLeague. He got a contract with Portland, got waived was back in Idaho and then got the call from Golden State. He put up decent numbers with them but is a tad undersized. Think Cory Violette. Of guy's I've seen with the Stamps Jamero Davidson is better. He had a great game on Friday with the Jazz in Orlando. If they are going to sign a DLeague guy, get Davidson or Rod Benson.

Tolliver would be great as a 15-20 minute back-up to Millsap. He's one of those energy guys that could bring a spark off the bench. He shouldn't be starting in the league like he did with Golden State, but that at least gave him a chance to show what he can do.

I've been saying all season that Tolliver would be a great addition to the Jazz if he got something like 15 minutes a game. Dude can board and play defense.

and why the hell would we need an underwhelming backup to Millsap when we have AK and Koufos lined up?
Unless the Jazz are planning to let go of either Fess or Koufos. With Okur, Millsap, AK and Jefferson, along with Koufos and Fesenko, those are 6 guys to man the 4/5 spots already. Unless there is some trade brewing this doesnt make sense.
