I for one will be happy even if we end up in the lottery next year, because at least we tried, took the risks. Did SOMETHING.
Same!

Don't wish your life away.Bojan is gonna KILL here. I cannot wait for the season to start
So we lost Hayward who was an all-star in his last year with us and we based a system entirely around him. Where does Bojan stack up against Jazz Hayward? We all have looked back and said Hayward would be the perfect fit here. Bojan slides comfortably into that same role. Similar type of offensive game. Perhaps less mid-range, but a lot of coming off screens. He's less than a year older than Hayward, too, and Boston is on the hook for $67M for the next two years while we have $73M for four years for Bojan.
And we obtained him for cap space. Does this completely erase the summer of 2017?
Yes, but all our sorrows and all of our hypotheticals of what we thought we lost, was restored back to us, no? I don't mean by saying we're better, but specifically all that we lost with Hayward we more or less have with Bojan? If Bojan was the focal point of our offense, what does he look like? Obviously we're the big winners from here on out.None of this is possible without the summer of 2017. Looking back at the last two years until now, Hayward leaving was the best thing that could have happened to us.

No complaining from me. I've been imploring Dennis to get off his big asset and do something for years. I'm in the minority, but I actually applaud him for keeping Dante. He never wavered. Right or wrong, he'll go down with that ship if he has to.We are fans. We complain about everything, duh.
But you are tilting at windmills right now my friend. Many of us have been asking for exactly this for years. For the FO to stop sitting on their assets and do something with it by hell.
And they did.
I for one will be happy even if we end up in the lottery next year, because at least we tried, took the risks. Did SOMETHING.
But I will still do plenty of complaining because I'm a fan and that's what fans do.
Duh.
As much as I hate what Gordon Hayward did, a team comprised of Rubio, Mitchell, (non injured) Hayward, Favors and Gobert would’ve been amazing. Jingles and Hood with bench roles. Would’ve still needed to make another move beyond Rubio, but that team would’ve been legit. DL ****ed up by not giving Hayward the full 5 year rookie max instead of letting him go negotiate his own deal in 2014.Yes, but all our sorrows and all of our hypotheticals of what we thought we lost, was restored back to us, no? Not Super...Spidey. Two different characters. So, legit question. Is Utah a Superteam now?

Barring injuries, this team can contend. And that's all you can ask for as a fan. I wont even criticize if Conley is only here 1 year. It will be unfortunate, but you have to go for it.
How quickly some forget. Someone bump the Gordon FA thread from that summer and let's see what the consensus was on giving him a max contract. Coming off a horribly inefficient year, Utah was willing to give him an identical contract to Favors. As much as I hate what Gordon Hayward did, a team comprised of Rubio, Mitchell, (non injured) Hayward, Favors and Gobert would’ve been amazing. The big issue would’ve been dealing with the 2017 scenario right now. Because it’s still likely that he would be leaving right now given how free agency has played out in the past 24 hours.
DL and the Jazz timed this perfectly.
Just as GS's window is closing, we come bursting in.
They timed it perfectly. Patience and a plan, it's all coming together now.
The problem if Lakers get Kawhi (very good chance I think), it's going to be hard to beat Lebron/Leonard/Davis. That's a superteam better than the Lebron/Wade/Bosh one.
So Lebron/Leonard/Davis is arguably 3 of the top 6 players in NBA
Does that make them best team of alltime?
If they sign Leonard, who do they get to fill out the roster with minimum contracts. We could beat them.Hey, we can't win em all. And that Lakers team will have zero depth. I like our chances.
So, legit question. Is Utah a Superteam now?
