JWF was probably too far away and NWG was likely getting interest in the nba. He was awful in summer league but that was 2 years ago. He’s had two good seasons overseas... I’m guessing he had other nba offers so we can either offer him a deal or lose his rights.

We likely know that the guys we drafted in the second are willing to take a two way... it’s why some guys like Terrence Davis weren’t picked... one of the second round guys takes the last spot... other two can get two ways or go overseas... Oni might get an nba offer from another team but I’m not sure the other guys have much choice.
 
Also I think NWG is not a guy cut out for summer league. Gets no separation, but seems good at running the offense... if he shoots 40% from three I think he can be a solid backup guard. Not sure how his defense is.

That wouldn't surprise me. Usually seconds in that range are taken based on some potential and willingness to accept a min or two-way deal, AFAIK.
