I’ll always remember Svi for being a mega hyped prospect. I think he was only 16 at the Nike summit? Crazy that was 10 years ago.
 
I think this is tank neutral or tank negative in a vacuum but it does seem to indicate no big move coming so it might be a tell. Idk… this one weird as ****. Maybe he’s an asskicker in practice.

That makes sense for power agents, but Lauri's agent is not a power agent.

It could be agent related or it might just be he was a guy willing to sign this type of deal and he has a good reputation.

Could be a "we were gonna sign someone... we give this guy a deal for playing nice with our star player even though we shopped him a little". Like a "thanks for not being a dick" present for his agent.

I really think most of this in non-guaranteed unless DA really likes Svi for some reason.

Maybe, but Lauri's contract is by far the biggest payday the agent has ever had. A deal like this isn't really necessary for anything, the present is the contract Lauri got. I would lean towards it being a coincidence, but maybe not

Journeymen with the right experience but are fringe talent are pretty much the assignment for finishing the roster. That, and a revolving tryout for (grinding) G-Leaguers.
 
Great tank signing, but why in the hell is he being signed to a 4 year contract? I’m pro tank but not the next four years, next year and maybe the 2026 year. But I’m hoping we are good to go by year 3 of that deal. Lol
