Jazz taking Jimmer #6 "most logical pick in NBA Draft History"

Dude, I didn't know you were a junior Jimmer? My apologies. Anyway, I'm not really against drafting Jimmer. I actually trust KOC to take the best player available at #12, regardless of who it is. I just thought the Chad Ford thing was interesting, considering that up until now he's been sticking to Utah taking Jimmer at #12.

I am just playing my role. We need more crazy Jimmer supporters around here.
You can just call me Jimmerny, I'm his conscience.

It is interesting, and like you said we shouldn't put much stock in someone's mock draft. It is interesting that they changed their mind on that though.

Right, but until just recently, he had us taking Jimmer at #12, regardless of whether or not we took a PG with our 1st pick. Also, in a scenario were we move up/drop down and take a SF or PF/C, he still has us taking a PF at #12, which doesn't make sense either. I'm probably reading more into it than there really is because of his BYU ties.

It does make you wonder, what he's hearing about the Jazz. And what possible moves, they might be making...hopefully Millsap for Lawson, Gallenari :)

More Jimmermania! He's going to star in a reality show about his transition from college to NBA.

Comedy gold!
Fredette was the best player in college basketball this year, but plenty of people still think he'll fail at the next level. Their reasons are largely hollow and based on subjective opinions, but their voices are loud.

As for the other side of the argument, there are plenty of reasons to believe Fredette will be successful, and the biggest one may be his work ethic.
If you criticize James you're words are hollow, but words of praise are apparently justified, no matter what compliments you'd like to lay on him. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal for Ferdetter.

chase budinger is white and athletic. Meyers leonard at illinois is 7ft and white and hell of athletic. Mateen cleeves wasnt athletic an won a chip while playing ina real confrence. Jimmer just not athletic. Watch hi game and break it down and you shall see bt dont let trtth stand in way of your next mormon god i mean guard

mateen cleeves was black for those who dont know.Jimmer even if black woldnt be top pick. Kemba walker is twice player he is and he not even top 5

So you're the egghead that would have passed on players like Nash?

Steve Nash can run an offense that doesn't consist of him hoisting up 5 30-footers every night and 20 shots per game on paltry assist numbers for the number of possessions used. And he tries to defend people, even though he's old as **** and with a bad back, currently.

Jimmer? Doesn't try at defense at all, and isn't good at creating for others. But all the PKs out there can continue to compare him to all-time greats based on skin color, nationality (Canada might as well be the U.S., at least to Jimmer-maniacs), height, and nothing about the actual game besides an ability to shoot.

It's really hard to say just how bad Jimmer's defense is going to be in the NBA. At BYU he simply didn't need to play defense. It wasn't a matter of him getting burned or being lazy...they simply designed a system whereby he didn't play defense. I mean...JJ Redick turned out to be a decent defender. It's possible Jimmer could. And it's not like Curry/Bibby/Terry are good defenders either...they are passable and that's all Jimmer needs to be. This is something that will become more clear in workouts than looking at Jimmer's college play IMO.

God damn it. Seriously. Comparing him to once-in-a-generation players is about as intellectually dishonest as it gets. Jimmer-mania is a ****ing tard-fest.

I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this thread.

Jimmer's and Larry Bird's exhibits will be next to eachother in the HOF. In fact, Jimmer will go down as the best B-ball player ever.....100 years from now nobody will even know who Naismith was... but they will know The Jimmer. Aliens will come to earth to learn how to play ball from The Jimmer. Jimmer will be famous for being integral in inventing the B-ball equivalent of the Atomic Bomb.... Einstein who?????

Don't forget about John Stockton and Steve Nash.

Not to continue to beat this dead horse, but as I was watching Dallas-Portland game last night, I was thinking that Jason Terry has forged out a decent career as an undersized quasi SG/PG. Is Jimmer's game, and his potential, anywhere near comparable to Terrys? (As a side note, I really like Terry's game and would love to have someone with his skill set on the team.)

I suspect this question/topic has already been raised, possibly several times, but I don't feel like plowing through the hundreds of posts on the numerous Jimmer threads to find out.
