Jazz Tried to Sign Jason Terry

back in 2004.

Along with Elton Brand and Corey Maggette. 'cept Brand never signed the deal with the Jazz, but with the Heat I think that the Clippers then matched.

Clippers such a quality organization.

Jazz are always looking at things to make themselves better. So much for staying out of the wing market "in a big way"

He is a guard, specifically a combo-guard.

Even if he handles the ball less than he did earlier in his career, he is still much more a guard than he is a wing.

Then I am just remembering him playing off ball. I have no doubt you are right here. Especially since the PG position is the one the Jazz have most addressed this off season.

If we wanted Terry, do you guys think we might be in the stakes for Jamal Crawford(if they want to cut on their lux tax)?

No. Terry makes more sense given his age, salary and leadership. And the Clips are going for it all. Losing Crawford would be a huge blow to that imo.

Last year with Burke and Exum, it was the blind leadin' the blind. I wouldn't mind if Utah signed an Earl Watson type player right now.

For me Watson's biggest plus was his attitude. Great team mate who stuck up for team mates.

Didn't they try to get Arenas that summer too? Maybe it was the summer before... oh well

Terry was a big part of that Dallas championship team, but he's slipped quite a bit since then. He's a limited minutes, Josh Howard kind of vet now.

Terry technically started at PG for Houston during the playoffs, since Harden is the primary ball handler. For the Jazz Hayward or Burks would be the primary ball handler.

I'll trade you two wings for a thigh!
