The Spurs played "the young players more" and lost a "heart breaker" on Monday. You think they were really trying to win that game, or did they tank?

How about the Warriors? They started three rookies, including someone named Jeremy Tyler, against the Jazz on Friday. They need to get him "developed"! But they weren't tanking, right?

Did the Spurs try to lose that game? No. Did they try to win it? No. It was immaterial to Popovich. What the was trying to was to win a championship. He gave it some long term thinking and concluded it was better to rest his big 3 in hopes of being in a better place to win it all. Jazz could use some of that type of thinking.
