You know I've been paying more attention to the way Conley plays and he actually is good at breaking down the defense. But the way he breaks down the defense requires a shooting big for the defense to pay. But instead we have Gobert...

Yep and he had that in Gasol in Memphis. So not sure why DL thought it would work with an old fashioned center like Gobert.
 
uh .. cause Quin took the ball out of Mudiay's hands ....

Look it's a double edged sword. His strength on offense is with the ball in his hands creating scoring opportunities (mainly for himself) going downhill. And overall he's done that very well this year. The downside is that when he does that the ball doesn't move as much.

On the flip side if we put the ball in say Ingles hands more then the ball will move better and maybe the overall flow of the bench unit will be better. The downside is that without the ball in his hands Mudiay is basically rendered useless and we have nobody else in the unit who can create offense for themselves.

Ideally we find some sort of comfortable balance.
