What's new

Jazz v Wiz 5pm MT.

Think that is the KARMA that Benji's wife/ Trey's mom was talking about?

Sadly, we are hanging our hopes on a guy who averaged 2.4 assist and 4.8 points and is coming off an ACL injury.

Love Exum's potential, but we really got to be realistic about how he is going to come back next year.

Which is actually taking a pretty big gamble which is what we all want right? If Exum was on another team and available for trade, you and many others would would be berating DL for not going after a PG with elite long term potential. Did you see how John Wall's size and defense shut us down at the point of attack? That's what Wall does to every team, and DL is hoping Exum becomes that guy for the Jazz.

Bad news guys. After the game I was playing with my kids in the living room. We have a little four foot plastic basketball hoop here. I grabbed a ball and took a shot from across the room saying "if this goes in, Jazz win tomorrow." The ball rimmed out. I said "ok, actually this is the shot and if it goes in Jazz win." I borked it of the side of the backboard. This doesn't bode well for tomorrow.
So basically you are the trey burke of your living room

Just for fun I asked basketball reference to compare Exum last season, to Mack 2013-14 season because they played similar minutes. Now, it is not a true apples to apples comparison because Mack was 23 yrs old and had 2 years NBA experience, while Dante was obviously a very young rookie, so I would not use the comparison to project either players career path.

Here are the results: https://www.basketball-reference.co...=macksh01&y2=2015&p2=exumda01&p3=&p4=&p5=&p6=

I think it is interesting that many stats are very similar, including the defensive rating per 100 possessions, but Mack had a higher offensive rating and shot the ball at higher percentages.

Don't know what this means to the Jazz now, but I thought it was interesting to look at.

Last I saw exum he looked like he had gained a lot of weight/muscle too. I'm just worried he's not going to pan out...

Probably means sweet FA

very different circumstances

What an ugly ugly game. The turnovers were maddening, especially Burke's turonver on a 3-2 fast break to CJ and Lyle's dumbass turnover when the Jazz were trying to make a run in the 4th. Neto had a couple that were enraging too.

Jazz had ten turnovers in the 3rd period alone and managed to lose the quarter by only 1 point - when they weren't shooting themselves in the foot they were scoring.

Even if they had taken care of the ball they most likely would have lost the game anyway - they had no answer for Beal or Wall in the 4th - but they would have had an outside chance to win and it at least would have been competitive.

I remember quite a bit of negativity towards gobert during this game, especially about how every time he gets the ball he turns it over.

Rudy was 5-9 from the field, 6-9 from the line, 12 rebounds and 16 points in 30 minutes. only 2 turnovers and two assits. Doesn't seem all that bad to me. In fact, statistically he was probably our best player last night.
Our point guards and bench were our biggest problem (along with overall team turnovers). Our bench, minus booker, shot 5-23 for 12 points.
We need burks to get back really soon.

-90 points. That's the magic number. When the Jazz hold teams to under 90 points they're 11-0. That should be the goal.

We're going to learn a lot about this team over the next 2 months. I, for one, can't wait for Burks to come back.

Oh ya, and the bench was 0-7 from three

Dropped passes dont count as TO's for the dropper but the passer.
