What's new

Jazz vs Kings 7:00 MST.

I'm still questioning it. The only good team we've beaten in the last 12 games is the Clippers. That was literally the only game that impressed me.

In the upcoming games against Indiana, Dallas, Houston, and Denver, if we go 3 for 4 in those games then I would say we are shaping up to be contenders. Otherwise the wins are simply due to the super easy schedule.
I'm not completely sold either, but we've gone 17-3 over our last twenty games. Only Milwaukee can boast a similar record, and they hadn't exactly had the most difficult schedule either.

Is there anyone still questioning whether or not we're a contender? This team is insane. We have so much firepower. So much isolation/mismatch ability. So many creators. So many shooters. Ideal spacing.

Lol

I know this may come as a shock to you... but even though Sacramento is in California, it isn’t in the same league as the two teams in Los Angeles. Ingram and favors tore us a new one the other night. Lebron/Davis and Claw/George are much better than Ingram and Favors. Blowing out the queens means nothing. They’re a franchise that hasn’t made it to the playoffs since I was in high school. Hell, did we even have wireless internet when the queens were last in the playoffs? Wasn’t Napster still working and MySpace still cool?

The question isn’t whether we can score. The question is whether we can beat a top team in a slug it out playoff series with Rudy as our only big man and a bunch of scrubs filling in at the backup 4 and 5 positions. I think New Orleans exploited weaknesses that we all saw coming back in July. It’s delusional to not think that the top teams all loaded with talented big men won’t exploit. I really don’t see us getting past the Lakers and probably the clippers without upgrading our frontline. Gobert shouldn’t be expected to stop Lebron, davis, Kuzma, and Dwight.

Wow what a run. This team is so fun to watch. I think they can run with any team in the league. I love the chemistry. Do not change a thing. If there’s an injury then next man up. This team has as good of a chance at a championship as presently constructed than anything else possible. We’re not trading for top five player in the league and I think that would be the only way to improve what we’ve got. Go JAZZ.

You obviously didn't read my following post on the subject. Or even the content of the one you quoted.

Which doesn't surprise me based off our interactions in the past.

Jazz with an absurd 130 ORtg again...

This is what I'm talking about when I say we are legit contenders because of the level of basketball we are playing rn and the composition of the team.

Anybody who is saying "oh we're just beating up on the Queens" or saying that we're just playing like this because of weak schedule, is missing the bigger picture.

Lots of teams win games against weak opponents, but they don't do it by playing at THIS high of a level. They don't do it by having the #1 rated offense over a 15 game stretch.

It's the level of play that is impressive. Not the wins. This level of play is capable of beating anyone.

I quoted your entire post when responding. What more do you want? You said the jazz were contenders. I said that they weren’t as long as Gobert is our only big. Then You whined.

Stop complaining and write better if you feel like your point was misunderstood.

We’re really good but can be exposed. I think our issues at the 4 are gonna really hurt us in the playoffs. Maybe Bradley too but I’m more confident in him than I am who we’re throwing out there at the 4 the last five minutes of a game.

The regular season is about winning as many games as possible to get the best seed. It is also about beating the best teams to setup the mental aspect of facing a team in the playoffs.

The playoffs are an entirely different level than regular season. They are more intense. Teams really zone in on mismatches during the playoffs The Lakers have a huge mismatch with the Jazz. They have multiple talented big men and the Jazz have Rudy. The Jazz have mismatches against the Lakers we have far better backcourt than the Lakers. So the series would be about who has the bigger mismatch. Right now the Lakers have proven they do with a 2-0 record against us. I think if some how the Jazz could acquire one more talented big man then they have a real shot of beating any team. Who that is and how they do that is a question that remains unanswered?

The next five games certainly will be a measuring stick whether the Jazz are contenders or pretenders? I am excited to find out.

Bradley to Clarskson
Clarkson to Bradley on the give and go
Bradley to Royce
Royce to Donovan
Donovan to Conley
Conley to Royce
Royce to Donovan for a 3

Still salivating over this play. My favorite play of the season so far.

That shot chart is epic. Legendary.

According to two sources who witnessed the interaction, Joerger told Divac, in a passive-aggressive jest, that he had negotiated an in-season trade with the Mavericks that would finally bring Doncic their way.

Cue the record scratch. As if this topic wasn’t touchy enough already.

Just two months before, Joerger’s public comments about the Kings not drafting Doncic were widely perceived as being critical of the front office.

“I think perhaps there was an idea that there was a ceiling on him,” he had said then. “I don’t see it, unfortunately for us.”

What’s more, Joerger’s insistence that Bagley come off the bench had caused frustration all season long and played a pivotal part in the coach’s well-chronicled clash with former assistant general manager Brandon Williams. It wasn’t just the fans, it seemed, who were fixated on the decision not to draft Doncic.

So Divac, unamused by his coach’s barb, fired back.

“Do I get their coach, too?” he said in reference to the Mavericks’ Rick Carlisle.

lmao poor Kangz

We had 7 steals and 4 blocks tonight. Nice! We haven't been great at being disruptive like that this season.
Kirilenko used to do near that himself some games, and fans here treated him like dog doo doo and broke him.

Kirilenko used to do near that by himself , and fans here treated him like dog doo doo and broke him.
Kirilenko broke himself. Or, more realistically, he never really was that savior we envisioned who would carry us after the Stockton and Malone era.

It was the situation that caused frustration within the fanbase. Mainly the fact that the existance of his max contract limited the possible ceiling of the DWill/Boozer/AK/Memo teams. I think every fan knew that AK was a valuable player.
