Divac should be fired. Players are hard enough to manage when a coach has full support by management. Sloan left as soon as Jazz management stopped giving him full support, and I don't blame him. I just hope they learned their lesson.
Fired? I'm sure that was an ownership order, not a Divac thing even though it's being reported that way.

Divac has full control and decision making. He does not believe in analytics, and made the decision to fire their head of analytics, which was not a good move. Obviously Ranadive is a basketball idiot, but if Divac is running the front office, he needs the balls to tell an owner when he is wrong if indeed the question/order came through ownership. Mullin and D'Alessandro had the brains to get out when they could.
Yeah, might want to look into that... I think there's more to that story than what was originally reported.

Yeah, hadn't see the follow-up articles. Just saw the originals earlier this year. Regardless, everything I have seen shows since Divac has been in charge they have had their best management flee (may be partly due to dysfunctional ownership). Everything I have read also states that Divac has full control over basketball operations, including the decision to override Karl's ability to suspend Cousins. If a coach doesn't have that authority after a public display like this, the coach will never have control or respect. And even if that came from the owner, the GM should push back against it unless they have truly given up on a coach that was barely hired. If Karl is fired, that is a total of 3 firings and 4 coaches in less than 11 months. A good GM does not let that happen, especially when you have two decent coaches in that group.

If the Kings ever want any hope of being a good organization again then they need a complete overhaul.
Sell to a new owner that let's basketball minds run the business.
A new GM that isn't a diva.
A new coach that can have the respect and authority they need.
New players not connected to this train wreck. Meaning Cousins (and the rest) get's traded.
Since all that won't happen Sactown will continue to be the dumpster fire that it is now.

Cousins is shaping up to have a Rasheed Wallace style career. He'll end up being beloved somewhere. It just isn't going to be Sacramento.
