What's new

Jazz vs Maccabi tonight at 7 PM MST

Such a conflicting feeling. All of our summer camp fill-ins playing graciously. Then again, you have to remember it was a 39 point win. Wolters seemed nervous but I don't think he played bad.

I'm just glad the training camp talk of playing faster is actually happening, at least thus far.

I like O'neale, he kind of reminds me of Matthews as a rookie. I would keep him over Bolomboy who was really impressive tonight.

I look forward to seeing both of them play against NBA talent.

If Burks moves on from trying to be Houdini and focuses on doing the simple thing he could be a good player .

His last bucket tonight was a pretty nifty houdini bucket though.
I think using his athleticism and fancy moves in traffic will always be a part of his game.
Nice to see him hitting the three ball (4-4 tonight?), making good passes and playing within the offense, being quick and decisive when he gets the ball, and rebounding like a beast to add to his slashing game.
Still not very good on defense (nothing glaring tonight but he still has poor tendencies on defense. Too much ball watching and losing his man and sagging to far off. An nba team will make him pay) and poor free throw shooting and some sloppy ball handling at times.

Overall he looked great though. Against a horrible team. Good thing hood and DM were out or I don't think he plays much tonight though.

Nothing wrong with the name Houdini.

It's when he starts playing kamikaze ball that things get dangerous. I think he can still be Houdini somewhat without also being a kamikaze.

We played at pace of 86 in the previous game. That's slower than we played last year. I don't know about this one.

Yeah, but that is not regular rotations or minutes being used against a team where we obviously took the foot off the gas and coasted for long periods.

Well put

Ya, just based off what I saw, it seemed like they pushed the ball ahead more often and the rebounder started pushing the ball more often. Even saw bradley dribble the ball past half court after rebounds in an effort to push pace. Twice. Lol

Man, Griffin and Bolomboy. Id have trouble waiving either of those two dudes. 6'10" freak athletes who can hit the three and rebound and just generally play their asses off. You don't find that everyday.

The new uni's look great (on the cheerleaders). Definitely upgraded that roster.

Bottom of the roster guys looked good. That last cut will be tough. Bolomboy battled as did O'Neale. Would the Jazz dare release Neto and keep Wolters in the GLeague as the emergency PG? Can't get rid of Gobert's buddy, right?

Obviously Burks played well. Dante continues to impress.

Snyder is some kind of coach. Heard him shout "Ekpe...Good" at one point. He's evolved from his "WAKE UP" days.

Drawback: Favors and Gobert. Painful to watch when they were on the court together. Bumped in to each other. Favs parked in the corner. This just ain't going to work.

And that pace. Let's see if they can continue to play uptempo against NBA competition. It's been nice to see them north of 100.

Burks looked comfortable out there, a near perfect game. He picked his spots when it was open made the right play everytime and created for others. This was the Burks that I wouldn't mind getting minutes at pg.
