What's new

Jazz vs Maccabi tonight at 7 PM MST

Rubio is playing in a new system.
Donovan and Bradley are rookies.
Burks is coming off multiple seasons of injuries.
It's not neto fault he is so short.
JJ is really old.
Hood has never been asked to be the primary scorer before. Even back to his college days.

Out of line to speak negatively about any of them tbh.

Nice tangent.

speaking of morons... right on cue.

Look, dude... I've been on this board for a long time. I've seen a few things. You're just going to have to take the following statement as something pretty close to a fact because you're new around here:

You're one of the biggest dummies to post on this site in the past 5 years. You're consistently getting things wrong because of homerism. You embarrass yourself. Or should. Please stop posting.

Damn you're sensitive. Out of a 200 word post you pick out 3 words, while disregarding everything else that was mentioned.

Out of line, ignorant, moronic, naive, narrow-minded, petty, uneducated, uninformed, thoughtless, ill-advised. Pick your own adjective but the point stands, all opinions are based on seeing a 1st year 'project' and that same 'project' in a recovery year.

You can evaluate talent however you like but anyone who has called Dante a "bust" on this forum based on the limited information and sample size is a ****ing moron!
Damn your sensitive. Start name calling because posters talk about jazz players on a jazz forum.
Lol

Round of a applause for you then hey lol.

Care to give an example of all these "things" I'm wrong about??? You're one of the numpty's that couldn't comprehend the full effects of a serious knee injury (pretty basic stuff really).

Really cant criticize Exum this season since he has 2 new back court teammates to get used to and will have to compete for minutes with rubio, burks, DM, neto, and hood. And considering what he had to through his first 3 years, he is basically a rookie. He is still young. Plus the west got tougher.

Might as well just go ahead and tell everyone that its not ok to criticize him next year either. It will be his biggest contract in his career so far and so there will be added pressure on him to produce so it wouldn't really be fair to criticize him next year either.

I'm going to have a hard time listening to you (or anyone) try to create equivalence between your position and mine.

And, yeah, I do think Exum earned those DNPs. And, no, I don't think Quin is trying to sabotage Exum's career. At any point.

I tbink they were prepared to 'sabotage' his development in an effort to keep Hayward. The talk about him not being a pg - it was such tripe.
Did you listen to Locke yesterday, he was pleasantly surprised cause they are actually drawing up a couple of plays for Exum for the first time! Shock horror. And now he is rabbiting on about Exum having an elite first step etc...Give me a break - they only just realized this? Sorry dude, they did stifle his development. And yes Exum sucked at times to justify their stifling of his development. But it was very very small minded thinking - because whether Hayward stayed or left, they needed X to develop.

I think you need a lesson in reading comprehension and context. Instead of selecting one particular phrase or sentence out of an entire post and basing your arguments (drivel) on that, try reading the post in its entirety to help reflect the context in which it was delivered.

You are just reacting to me using "negative" and "out of line" in that post and applying your own context, while disregarding everything else that was mentioned.

lol. man that was a hard pod to listen to! Locke just cant bring himself to say anything positive about Exum, he'd prefer to just talk down the opposition. His highlights of the game:

- AB
- Bolomboy/O'Neale
- "Passing"
haha ....

Thank god the nba is back and there is plenty of content around because that dude is a dick!

And sure.. rookies are going to suck sometimes but they have to be allowed to play through it. DM is gonna suck at times this year but I hope he'll be allowed to just play and learn.

Damn your sensitive. Start name calling because posters talk about jazz players on a jazz forum.
Lol

To be fair I think he was trying to make an emphatic point. I didn't think he was expecting people to say their Hail Mary's and seek repentance.

I think he clarified that in a later post.

You are correct. I was calling you out for saying it's out of line for posters to have been negative about Exum's crappy production so far in his career.
That's BS. Fans on this forum watch the games and discuss what they see. Nothing wrong with that.

It's ok to just admit you were wrong sometimes. Not only is it ok, it's admirable (and rare) imo.

Well to be fair to him, he seems to have started to say some positive things about what he has seen.
The thing that has me confused is, the things he and others are seeing as positives were always there! Sure he needs to make less mistakes, finish better and shoot better etc, but the elite speed is arguably the most valuable asset this team has had in years - coupled with Goberts length and timing on defense. And what have the Jazz done to utilize it? Started to run a couple of plays for him in his 3rd season....

Maybe try making a point without using

Damn you're sensitive. .

Out of line, ignorant, moronic, naive, narrow-minded, petty, uneducated, uninformed, thoughtless, ill-advised. ****ing moron!

That would be more fair imo.
He would probably get treated more fairly too.

What do you think he is seeking btw, if not repentence/apologies/crow eating?

I took it as snapping back at the 'haters'. 'Out of line' I interpreted as meaning 'if you call yourself a bb fan and Jazz fan you should have known better....'. Not meaning you should be given a warning for breaches of a code of conduct etc.

But that was just my take. Maybe I was wanting to give it that spin cause I was on board with his overall analysis.

ps.. I assumed that in that bit you quoted, he was using synonyms for 'out of line'. He wasn't calling you personally all those things...

Ah, internet interpretation fun :)

Great mediation (thumbs up).

Again, context.

My error was not being specific and generalizing... but I wasn't to know FOJ was going to tee that up and punch it out of the park.

I took it as he was calling those who criticized X those names.

X was never exempt from criticism imo.
No one forced him to skip college or not play in a different pro league before coming to the nba. He decided he was ready for the nba and made the decision to declare for the draft before he was actually ready. He accepted and cashed his paychecks.

We criticize everyone who plays poorly. Whether super young, super old, or have injury history, or get paid a lot, or whatever. If they are out sucking on the court then it will be talked about. Also will be praised when they play well.
X is no different.

It's funny when dudes get trolled by Locke and whateverthe**** he's saying.

I dgaf what Locke says, emmk?

Or... the more likely scenario: you're a **** writer and you come across as whiny and dumb.

"ignorant, moronic, naive, narrow-minded, petty, uneducated, uninformed, thoughtless, ill-advised"

These are adjectives I gave you to replace "out of line" because I knew that the term was an issue.

I wasn't trying to say X was above criticism, my comments were aimed at those who had written him off throughout his career with little to nothing to go off.
