A statement game for Jazz. Paul and Ak have had good defensive + offensive performances against Dirk. Dirk will shoot the ball it's a matter of rotating properly not to match him against guards, and making him earn every point he gets. Rebounding is crucial to win against DAllas.

I hate being the 2nd team on these ESPN/TNT blockbusters. Even if the game is way out of reach they never cut from it. I just pray it's a blowout so one team doesn't call a thousand timeouts.
 
Lol just as if there was a varsity and junior varsity Jazz, I'm watching the jr. jazz lose to the celtics as the warmup for our varsity game next against the mavericks.
 
The thing that bothers me more than anything else about the general tendencies of NBA players is not the likelihood they're cheating on their wives or being paid ridiculous guaranteed money whether they deserve it or not; it's that most don't read the ****ing scouting report. Jason Kidd is almost 40 and does most of his scoring at the 3-pt line. This isn't ****ing the year 2000. Get up on him and contest the shot, that's his game now.
 
Utah started so strong, but things just started getting messy. As is often the case, Sloan is letting fouls drive substitutions. Early foul trouble to Kirilenko hurt Utah the last couple of times down the court, as the shorter Miles/Bell combo was overshot. That being said, with Terry out there, I'd rather have Price playing if he's gonna protect more or has more legs. Finally, with just over a minute left, he sits Jefferson also, and brings in Fes, but Dallas puts Nowitzki.

Elson has caused 3 turnovers, and Fesenko has logged two rebounds that he had to worked for. I say it more because I think that AJ should've stayed in there, even if Fes had to wait. Based on their brief cameos, Fesenko should get the backup nod. Deron was clearly frustrated by the lack of offensive movement.

Sloan starts 2Q with Watson-Price-Miles-Elson-Fes against Barea-Terry-Marion-Nowitzki-Haywood. Hack-a-Fes yields a 1-2 conversion at the line (better than it could be). Dallas is clearly sagging on Fesenko; after passing up one or two shots previously, Fes launches a brick jumper.

9:41 Elson is WIDE open, and Watson finds him. Utah needs that. Then Nowitzki immediately responds (6 points).

Fesenko with an out-of-control baby jump shot in the paint that goes in. Fesenko with six rebounds and Elson with two alley-oops. FE starts filling the offensive void that Deron was so frustrated with at the end of Q1. Utah up 28-27 with 8:14 left.
 
Lol, I didn't know Elson had that in his game. The Jazz have the lead by 1 and the D is playing very well tonight. Color me impressed so far.

Fes's two offensive rebounds and baby jump shot (edit: two baby jump shots) just called to tell you to go back to your cave.

I don't like bringing Millsap back in. He has two fouls, and Elson & Fes were doing OK.

AK with 2 fouls is back in also. Unnecessary. CJ was doing OK, too.

At least the starters are scoring--and defending OK.
 
********! We were playing 4 on 5 on offense when he was in the game. The big rahtard SHOULD get rebounds just because he's bigger. And his out of control hook shots (not my description) were just that.

Can't wait for Memo to get back so we don't have to play his *** as much anymore.
